there is a rescue progrram on Acer Support page. you need to make a floppy disk and when it in the floppy you start the computer.

Acer aspire one netbook when i try to run the flash bios program downloaded from the acer site i get an error message and the computer freezes so i have to re-boot

make sure the bios update you are flashing is compatible to your motherboard specs...and you should use uninterruptable power supply to avoid crashing bios due to power failure.and make sure to make back up files of your older bios...

I want to get driver tv tuner for acer aspire l3600

It's a problem for us to assume since you didn't mention the Operating System installed on the Acer Aspire... moreover there are two types of tv tuner card that comes with this model. I hope you'll not mind letting us know all these next time so that we can help you better.

If the operating system install on your system is Windows 7 the click the below links to download

Acer Aspire L3600 Connexant Tv Tuner driver for windows 7

Acer Aspire L3600 Yuan Tv Tuner driver for windows 7
Once you click the link, download will automatically begin. You'll need winrar or winzip to extract the files. Extract the files and run the setup or as per your convenience.

Acer Aspire L3600 Yuan Tv Tuner driver for windows vista

Currently, there's no drivers available for windows xp but you can still run it by using the "Device Manager" > "Update Drivers" wizard after extracting the windows vista drivers.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Black screen on acer aspire one series zg5

You should contact Acer. They know they have a display problen with the Acer Aspire One that can be fixed with a BIOS upgrade. We got our done. They sent us a USB thumb drive with the files and instructions on how to boot the thumb drive. After a couple of minutes the Acer restarted and all is fine.

System crash

Acer Aspire One BIOS Recovery The AA1 has a built-in BIOS recovery routine, making it possible to flash the BIOS even if the system doesn't boot anymore. It's only meant for emergencies and may void your warranty, so use at your own risk.

Follow every step carefully!

First format an USB stick with FAT.

Download the latest BIOS, and put both FLASHIT.EXE and the BIOS file in the root directory of the stick. Rename the BIOS file to ZG5IA32.FD, that's important. Do not remove the USB stick.

Turn the AA1 off, make sure both battery and AC adapter are connected. Press Fn+Esc, keep it pressed and press the power button to turn the AA1 on. Release Fn+Esc after a few seconds, the power button will be blinking. Press the power button once. The AA1 will now initiate the BIOS flash, do not interrupt it under any circumstances. After a while the power button will stop blinking, and the AA1 will reboot shortly after. Wait patiently.

The BIOS has been flashed and all settings reset to default.

If for some reason you made a mistake during the procedure and it doesn't reboot by itself wait 5 minutes before turning it off, just to be safe that it isn't still flashing the BIOS.

Download WIN98BOOT.ZIP and HPUSBFORMATTER from the internet normal bootable like a dikette won't work with a usb stick

Flash bios crash

The only 2 way to fix it is to replace the motherboard or:

Take the computer apart by removing all visible screws. And slowly and carefully removing all parts. Start with screws under keyboard on bottom of chassis. After you remove the keyboard you will see more of a hint to get the laptop apart. Go to tomshardware.com and search the site for how-to on disassembling a laptop. After you get it open you should look for your bios chip , the picture is attached here. If it is socketed you can get the numbers
and do an
internet search or call acer and get one from the manufacturer.

Here is one for a toshiba laptop: http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba_Tecra_S2/pull_apart_laptop_1.htm</url>
