I put a dvd in my macbook what was burned on a german system and now I can't take it out and the dvd player show me no disk when I try to open the dvd player.

NO DVD title told , nor region code of DVD. disk
no DVD PLAYER told , is it TV or PC or ? just DVD lap player dedicated to DVD only.? (some player (apps) are horrible)
DVD's do not have to support 150 languages, that is the producers choice.(voice, CC and subs)
try the DVD in PC yet? see if it works there using VLC free player

What file type are you recording the film in?

Do you have Windows Xp? If so XP does not burn dvds on its own, you need to install third party software and burn it throught there.

Go to apllications the utilities and then open system profiler once open click on disc burning and see if your default mac drive is showing up and if the LG is showing up. If it is showing up the drive should work.

The problem you may have is that the macbook will normally burn to default drive but you will have to select the LG first to burn to that

do you want to burn your avi file to dvd?
and play your dvd on your dvd players?

I know exactly how you feel, since the lightscribe feature is great, but the lightscribe software is pc and not mac compatible, though the burner will work up til that point in the process on a mac.

I solved the problem by using an external dvd burner on a spare pc which will accommodate the installation software for lightscribe and burn and create and decorate the dvd.

I have yet to try a possible solution involving a Core Duo and combo Mac/PC Operating system since I still use an old iBook G4 to create videos but if your Macbook will accommodate both types of OS then you might try using the lightscribe software installation disk on your macbook in pc mode as a windows application.

If the disks do not work on any of the three players they are probably faulty, try buying a spare disk of same kind , or writing a disk from a different pack, it it does work then you bought a box of faulty DVDs, ask a refund.
If disk from different box gives same problem when burned on same computer, then there may be a problem with DVD burning software, try doing a system restore to a recent date,

Are the disk you are using, are they burned CD/DVDs from a PC? Perhaps the CD/DVD is not fully burned. We get CD/DVDs that after sticking them in a PC find out that Nero was used and the finalization part of burn was not executed because they potential were going to add more to the disk.

What disc(s) are you trying? Is it a commercial DVD or a burned DVD?
