LG MU-50PX10C 50 in. Plasma HDTV Logo
Posted on Dec 26, 2007

Connections I have an LG 50 inch Plasma HDTV, an LG Home Theatre system, a PS3 and a Sky Box. I am trying to connect them all together and hopefully use one remote. I have them all linked at the moment using scart leads and HDMI cables. I can get sound from the TV and DVD through the Surround but not the PS3. I can only get sound when using the PS3 through the TV speakers. I also have to use all the remotes. When i tried to plug in a set of wireless headphones, i was to connect the red and white leads and the phono lead but the tv dosn't have a phono socket so my headset dosn't work. Can you help with these problems

TV link not working with my LG 50PH660V 50-inch Widescreen 1080p Full HD 3D Smart Plasma TV with Freeview HD/600Hz. I connected coax cable to my Sky Box, switching on the RF on, but I can not get it w

Hi Jim, your nearly there, all you need to do is go into the tv menu and move from DTV to the old type channel numbers and then find the bit where you can manually tune the tv to channel 68.
Have a sky menu picture running and you will see it come in.

When I hook up my LG plasma to PS3 and Cable box, I don't get any sound or colour on the PS3. The TV /cable box works fine. Any ideas on the wiring?

What type of connections are you using? HDMI? Component? Composite? What audio? HDMI? Optical Digital? Analog audio?

Are you saying you get video from the PS3, but it is in Black&White only? Is there an NTSC/PAL selector on the PS3? If so, it may be set wrong. Set to NTSC if you're in the United States.

How do i connect the tv to a Sony HT-DDW7600 Home theatre system

Use HDMI cable to connect the television and home theater. You can see the HDMI input at the back of your television and the HDMI output of the home theater at back of your player.

Lg plasma 50 trying to configure hdmi to play tv sound through panasonic home theater.

You will only be able to use the HDMI if you tv has an output for it(for other things beside built in DVD player of home theatre). It can not be an input. If you want everything that plays through your tv to then play through your home theatre the easiest way is to use white and red composite audio cables(some call them rca cables) More than likely you tv will have this output. They will go from the output of the tv to the input of home theater. If your home theater has a Blu-ray or DVD player you need to use the HDMI from home theatre out to in on the tv. If you tv happens to have and OUTPUT for fiber optic audio or digital coaxle audio on your tv and your home theatre has same but as inputs that will work as well with a better quality sound. However this is very rare.

How to redirect the sound of my new LG 52" HDTV LCD to my LG home theatre?

There sould be audio outputs on the back of it, and the manual should clearly show how to set up a home theatre with an external sound system and all.

I don't know what kind of sound system you have, but I think it might be best to connect your video source (typically DVD player) to your sound system, as it usually can be done better that way. No need to introduce another link in the chain (your TV) that could degrade sound. Also any external tuner could (should) be connected to your sound system directly.

If you use the internal tuner in your TV to watch TV the audio out is your option. Best way to get this right is to consult the manual. They usually have some diagrams that shows a few options of how to do it.

Home theater system connections

Hi
I have the same tv but my dvd surround is a toshiba, that shouldn't matter though. When I watch a dvd I go to component 2 which is where I have my dvd connected on the input of the tv when I watch tv and want the surround on I go to component 1 which is the tv input then on my dvd player I go to auxillary and I can watch tv in surround. I don't know the LG home theatre system but you should be able to select your inputs like between dvd, tuner, aux. Flip between them and you should get sound. hope this helps.
