I am the Sales Coordinator with Electrolux, and personally it sounds to me like your machine could use a service check. Your local Aerus/ Electrolux office should be able to help you out with that no problem. If you are having trouble reaching them feel free to call my office (570)326-1731 and ask for Liz. I hope this is able to help you out.

It has a 25 yr warranty... I am not drumming up business by giving things away for free.... I will not discusss what could potentially be wrong in an open forum.... but as an employee of the company I have worked with these machines from time to time.... I am pretty sure I know the problem..... Any Aerus Electrolux location with a service dept. could help you.... which is why I said "Your local Aerus/ Electrolux office should be able to help you out with that no problem. If you are having trouble reaching them feel free to call my office (570)326-1731 and ask for Liz. I hope this is able to help you out." So hopefully you take my advice and call your local office. By giving you my # I figured if you could not locate the location closest to you, I could help. So as for a sales tactic.... If I was trying to sell you a machine, maybe I could see your point. I am just trying to help you fix the one you already have.... Have a nice day.

Electrolux vacuum has very little suction

If you have dogs that shed, canister vacuums will always need cleaning out.. try to empty it before it's total full more often, this should prevent it from backing up so much.

The suction of the vacuum has gone down from the suction that was when it was new(about two years old). All areas have be cleaned and there are no obstructions or blockages in the unit, it just seems less...

you may have a little wear in the hose, although sometimes it is wise top take it in for an overhaul. If you take it to a good tech they will take it apart, clean the motor and adjust the rubber seals.Simply,a vacuum means no air,the better sealed the vacumm the better suction...hope this helps

Electrolux Epic Series 6500 SR. The machine is 15 yr. old & is working beautifully. However, when operating it emits a terrible stink, like cat *****. I've changed bags & filters but no ch

You need to have the vacuum cleaned out. If you are good with tools, just remove the motor and fans assembly, take the fans off and wash them. Brush ALL dirt out of the housing and reassemble. Your Electrolux dealer can do this but it isn't cheap. I used to be the service manager for my area. Since it isn't under warranty, you can have ANY reliable vacuum cleaner shop give a good cleanout. NEVER put anything into the cleaner to make it smell good. Electrolux cleaners get their power by having a straight through suction. The air goes through the motor. Adding smelly things can crystallize onto the motor and burn it out.

My electrolux ergorapido does not seem to have much suction, it is also very quiet. is this just the way it is?? i am the second owner, i have cleaned everything.

I took mine completely apart, removing every screw to get to the motor which was full of lint, hair and god knows what. I removed all the debris I could by hand, put it back together, and it works like new. I think debris gets in if the filter part is pushed too far down and the hole in the cup is open to the top part. My husband wanted to throw it out but I figured "what the heck". It's broken, it won't get more broken if I take it apart, it's only a year old.

I have Electrolux Versatility and have little suction power in the hose part,

Unplug the machine..now if you remove the attachment hose at the body of the vac and feel inside (to the right about an inch) their is a "suction cover" that rotates when the wand is removed (aka using atachments). The cover in your machine is NOT rotating correctly, so it does not get full suction. If you do get some suction from the hose then their is at least a 'small opening' because it has partially rotated. I was able to fix this problem by taking a large screwdriver (1.5 feet long, thick as a pen), inserting it into the small opening (on the suction cover, inside to the right at the top) and forcing the cover down all the way by lifting the screw driver up against the top of the body opening. Seems to have corrected the problem, but may reoccur. If you have NO suction at all then it has failed to rotate whatsoever, and Im not sure how to correct it.

No suction; beater bar works. Motor does not seem to be running.

This model has a complicated trouble-shooting procedure that needs to be done by an authorized Aerus Electrolux service tech.
This is often caused by a bad relay board or a Triac. However, problems in wiring or swswiches, including the hose wiring.
I stress that this must be done by an authorized Aerus Electrolux service tech.

I need a new motor for my electrolux 1590 machine. What is the difference between a 2 stage & a 3 stage motor?

If you haven't got the new motor, the three stage has more suction. The 1590 CV had the three stage motor untin they changed to the two stage not long ago. You can get either one for your unit. The two stage should be a little less expensive.
