They will only go to the draft folder if you accidentally click the Save to Draft option instead of Send. It is very easy to do! If an email has been sent it will go, by default, to the Sent folder.

If you locate the email that you have replied to or sent then highlight it and then right click on it a drop down list will appear.

Select and click the View Full Headers option at the bottom of the list. This will give a popup window containing header info. If you read through it will show the following:

  1. From which should be your email plus the date and time
  2. a whole bunch of misc characters
  3. From with your name / email address shown
  4. Subject – whatever the email subject was
  5. To – Name / email address of who you sent the email to or replied to
  6. Content Type – plus some unintelligible info
  7. Content Length – which is the true size of the email plus any attachments.

If you can see this then it conforms that you message has been successfully sent from you email account.

Note: It does not show or guarantee that the email has been received or read at the recipients end.

Testimonial: "great advice thanks."

Gmail Tip Searching my gmail masseges

It is hard to search for a single mail from a batch of hundreds of thousandsof mails, but the Google's search algorithms can help you do it so instantly.
Within you Gmail account, select your folder from which you intend to searcha mail, e.g. Inbox, Sent mail, Drafts, Spam, etc. Your Gmail search field is located at the top on the right of the logo. Withthis field you can search both email messages in your Gmail account and theweb.
Just fill in any detail you know about the email you intend to search - itcould be a title of the mail, recipient's name or email address, a phrase orword in the body of the mail; etc. Just within the search field, you can click on the "show search optins". Thisgives a wide range fields to fill in if you want a very specific mail. These options can help you search:
  • emails according to senders or recipients: ( From: ......... and To: ......... )
  • messages containing (or not containing) specified words or phrases: (Has the words: ........ and Doesn't have: ............)
  • email subject (key words): (Subject: .......)
  • emails with attachments: (Has attachment - checkbox)
  • emails within a specific date range
  • email messages contained in your inbox, sent items, trash, spam , drafts, etc.
  • emails which have been read or unread.
Depending on how much you know about the particular email you intend tosearch, you can use one or more options to search for it. For example, you mayneed to search for an email sent to James(name field), with an attachment (justcheckbox), about school reunion(Subject) and sent with in June (datewithin)

My outlook keeps a draft after i send email out

I have several Hotmail & Outlook accounts and I can use the drop-down menu to choose which one to use as the sender but sometimes if I don't use the actual email account (as the sender) that I am actually logged into at that moment, then it will not send the email and will put it in the Drafts folder instead.
I went to the draft folder, chose the edit option and changed the sender email to the actual one that I was currently logged into, and that draft was FINALLY sent out.

My email are not delivered though yahoo says it has been sent. Any one can help?

hi this is kamal here to help u...

The message was never actually sent. Make sure you actually sent the message by checking in your Sent folder. Is it there? If not, you might not have sent it. Do you remember seeing the "Mail Sent" confirmation page that appears after clicking "Send"? It's a page that confirms your email message has been sent successfully.
The message was saved as a draft. Did you click "Save Draft" by accident? It's the button right next to "Send." Check to see if you saved a draft by clicking your Draft folder.
The message was not addressed properly. You might have accidentally entered a different email address than the one you intended, or entered a typo that actually turns out to be a real email address. Check to see if this happened by looking in your Sent folder. Take a close look at the address information. Did you write something weird?
The message was delayed. Most messages are delivered within a few minutes. But messages can sometimes be delayed while in transit due to heavy Internet traffic or routing problems. This kind of delay can last for several hours or more.
Other possibilities. Occasionally, interruptions or disruptions in email transmissions over the Internet render your message undeliverable. This is very rare, but it does happen. Unfortunately, aside from waiting, there is no way to know for certain whether a message has been delayed or whether it has been rendered undeliverable. The best solution is to re-send your message. You can find it in your Sent folder.

EMAIL AND SIGN IN PROBLEM

Are you on wireless? If so, is your connection coming and going?

Anyway I would copy and paste your email to Notepad, Wordpad, or whatever you would like right now so you don't lose everything you typed. Just a temporary thing until the other thing gets worked out.

I sent an email to someone's email account by accident. Is there anyway I can have that email deleted from their aol email account?

Once you have clicked send and the e-mail has been sent it is out of your control and it cannot be stopped. However you can make sure that have actually sent the e-mail. Check your Drafts folder and see if the mail is there. If you find it there it has not been sent and you can discard the e-mail instead of sending it.
