You have two points where you can check the dispenser water. At the rear where the water supply comes in is the water inlet valve. If you disconnect the dispenser water line and then see if the water comes out when you try the dispenser. You should hear the valve work when you try the dispenser. If you don’t hear it there is a dispenser actuator switch problem. If you do hear it but water doesn’t work here there is a valve or water supply problem. If it's normal, disconnect it at the bottom of the freezer door and try again. If it's normal here it may be frozen in the door. If this is the case open the door till it thaws. A blanket over the opening will prevent thawing of all the food.

SOURCE: Kenmore Refrigerator stopped dispensing water

Either your water tank in the fridge froze up, the waterline that goes up the freezer door from the bottom hinge froze, or the switch that your glass hits is damaged. Do you hear any humming or noises when you put your glass up to get water?

SOURCE: No water to door dispenser

The water lines might be frozen. The found the water lines in my fridge behind the bottom drawers and used a hair dryer to melt the ice.

SOURCE: The water dispenser stopped dispensing.

At the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If it does , then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , turn on the dispensor light for several hours , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig .
If the water line in the door is frozen , GE has a dispensor heater which comes with instructions to install . Pt # WR49X10173 .

Wheres my filter? Ksrs25qawh01wj

Hey Debbie, As per my research your refrigerator does not contain built in water filter. So there is no water filter installed in your refrigerator. But if your refrigerator is not dispensing the ice but it is dispensing water, then the most likely issue is with the Ice Maker. This is the model compatible part number for the Ice Maker: 4317943. I hope this helps!

Water dispenser won't work

check the freezer door switch; this is a safety so the ice maker wont come on while the door is open

Water dispenser on front of refrigerator door does not dispense water. Ice Cube maker continues to make ice cubes. Defrosting doesn't fix problem.

Water dispensing solenoid is bad. You need to replace the solenoid valve. This typically is independent of the ice maker.

Water despenser

The water dispensing valve may not be functioning, if the valve buzzes or hums when the water dispenser is pressed the valve may be mechanically deficient, if there is no sound whatsoever the switch for the dispenser, the dispensing valve coil or its electrical connections may have failed.

The ice maker and water dispenser does not work. There is no power to the exterior dispensing unit on the refrigerator.

I'm assuming you are saying there is no ice and water being dispensed, but that the ice maker is producing ice.

Actual ice maker operation is independent of the fountain which is for dispensing only.

The power is checked at the fountain board on wires Red/Black and White. The door must be closed when doing this check as power goes through the door switch. If no power is present, check the same wires at the connector under the upper door hinge cover.

The next check would be Red/Black to Blue while depressing the actuator pad button.

Outputs off the board are Pink to auger motor, Black to fountain water valve, other Black to fountain light, Violet to cube solenoid, the two brown wires go to the ice chute door solenoid.

The ice maker can be checked by removing the plastic cover up front. Check test points L to N for 120VAC. Short test points T and H to cycle the ice maker. Make sure it does not have ice or water in the mold already, or it will run over.

Of course last but not least, check water to the refrigerator. It is a dual valve and unlikely both solenoids could fail at the same time.

You could have a layer of solid ice at the bottom of your icetray. Remove icetray. Remove any ice in bottom. Reinstall. Be careful there is a connection on the rear of the icetray, you may have to turn it to get it to mesh correctly. Fill with ice and it should work fine. Good Luck.

Kenmore Refrigerator stopped dispensing water

Look up through the ice despencer on the front door of the freezer. Is the flapper door open? If so it needs to be fixed. If its not then try leaving the freezer door open for 3+ hours to defrost the frozen line in the door. If that doesnt work, the water valve must be changed.(located behind fridge, take off back cord board panel at bottom, the valve is blue)... GOODLUCK!
