Everything is working fine except the ear piece

the speaker in the flap stops working. so then i have to put on the speaker and talk.I showed the phone to a mechanic, they changed the ear flap with the ear piece but it worked fine for a few phone calls only.Kindly advice.

hi, the problem here is with your ear piece..all you need to do is to replace your ear piece.

the ear piece speaker might have dislodged itself or maybe it is so dirty that you cant here nothing.try your hands free set..

That's a common problem.It may not be the problem of your ear piece.Try to use it on other phones.If it works then there are two possibilities
1.your ear piece socket is not working
2.your phone is not recognizing the ear piece.In this case reinstalling the firmware (from any service center) of your phone fixes the problem.

There are 3 solutions 1st you can take it to where you bought the phone and they can replace it if your warranty is still valid or if you have insurance on your phone. 2nd you can take the phone apart (open where the screen is) i suggest only doing this if you are sure you can put it back together and check the ear piece, if it has dirt on it try to remove it, but be gentle. Also if there is nothing visible that looks like it got disconnected its broken and you need a new ear piece. 3rd get one of those headsets and use it like that

This because in your handset there will be 2 speakers
1 is loud speaker and 2 nd one is ear piece speaker....

so the loud speaker is working fine ...
There may be some loose contact in the ear piece speaker or the speaker might have got damaged ...

so if you are good at opening then just open your handset and check if there is any loose contact in the ear piece speaker .. is so fit it correctly ..
or you replace the ear piece speaker with the new one ...

if you are not good at opening then just contact the technician ...
he will do it ...
The ear piece speaker is very cheap so no problem .. just buy the ear piece speaker which is compatible to your handset in the shop if you are doing it by your self ...

the technician might take the service charge for this that s all but the ear piece speaker is too much cheap ..

Sounds like the ear piece connection between the two halves of the phone has been broken. Your "speaker phone" function should still work because the sound comes from the back of the main body of the phone. To the best of my knowledge, this can't be fixed. You will need a new phone. I hope this helps.

hey kev.. all i can ask you is ... the following 1) open the ear piece of the non working .. then take a multimeter (keep meter in resistance mode) and check the resitance if its good it will show you.. apx 32 0hm and if its showing you 0 or .1 or below 16 ohms.. 2) after you disconnect the speaker.. the broken one that is... chek the cable connectivity.. or rather continuity.. for this keep the meter in continuity mode the pervious resistance mode.. then take one wire and connect one prob from meter to it.. and take the other prob and connect ti too the pins of the cnnector.. ( here is there are 4 pins dedicated to the ear phone.. 2 for each.. nd they are towards the end sid.. just below the # key.. frm # key the last 4 pins connectors are for audio.. ) check the.. pins on the cord connector not the phone.. i hope you can find what wrong with your... head set now.. and yeah if the speaker is out jsut replace both the ear piece with sony or aiwa earphones.. it wil work best if your cable is gone then all the best buy a new one tc aditya
