Click on the video icon on your chat window to allow the other user to see your webcam. To continue or stop broadcasting, either keep the Webcam window open or close it to stop broadcasting.
find the picture icon for the messenger on the bottom right side of your screen near the clock area. Sometimes you will see a down pointing arrow instead. Click on this arrow to open the area and locate the picture of the windows messenger. right click with your mouse on the messenger and choose "exit" and this will close the program.
I open Yahoo IM by double left clicking or one right click on the desktop icon. With the right click, you'll have to click on open. To start IMing I right click on the friends' photo area. The menu window opens and i choose what i want to do.
It is possible that it is running in your taskbar (bottom right-hand of screen). If so, double click this smaller icon to open the window. If not, try uninstalling and reinstallnig Yahoo Messenger.
To change your display image on yahoo messenger follow these steps: Login to your messenger, At the top left corner is an icon which looks like a face directly under the messenger tab of the messenger, Click on the face icon, An extension comes out with manage display image, click on display image and decide if you want to share an image or not as well as change whatever display image shows there. On your windows, click Start. Select All Programs. Select Yahoo messenger Click Yahoo Messenger program icon. Yahoo messenger will be displayed. If it succesfully displayed then make a shortcut for that program icon on your desktop. double click it every time you want to use it.
If the program icons did not reponse too, then I suggest you uninstall Yahoo messenger and download different versions.
If the Yahoo! Messenger application itself is blocked, meaning you cannot start the program itself, you can unblock this through your firewall settings. Double click on your Network Connection icon in your lower right corner of your window. It will open the Local Area Connection Status window. Click Properties. Click the Advanced tab and click the WIndows FIrewall settings button. Click on the Exceptions tab and make sure Yahoo! Messenger box is "checked" to enable it. Then cllick OK and close Properties.
