What would i do? my epson stylus r230 won't print and 2 red lights are blinking?
You need to reset the waste ink counter. Find SSC service Utility/R220/r230 or adjusment program

install it set for r230 then using the tray icon right click the tray icon choose protection counter from the menu then choose reset protection counter then turn off the printer then turn the printer back on

Do you see any flag message like " end of service life-------". You should find a resetter for the printer, its a utility program.
Or its a paper jam, or dirty ink chip connector.

Run SSC. Menu Configuration. Select installed printer. Select printer mode to Epson R220/230. Close dialog box by clicking cross sign at top right of dialog box. Icon will show at bottom right of dekstop. Right click, select protection counter. Show current value for checking waste ink counter. Click Reset protection counter. Turn off printer. Turn on again. Usually SSC doesn't work at Vista.
