Every time I sign in to my yahoo account it goes to my mailbox but is telling me that it is loading a chat. Then it freezes. It causes my web browser to not respond. I evn tried another web browser and it, too, is not responding. Other websites work just fine.

This will happen if your chat is active on your mail page. If it loads, it will automatically sign you out of the instant messenger program that's not on your web browser.

When you are online with Yahoo Messenger and at the same time sign-in with your yahoo mail account, Your connection with Yahoo Messenger will be lost(and it will sign out automatically) when you tried to open your mail chat.

Or if your status is " Available " on the mail chat of your Yahoo Mail account. Once you sign in on this account, you will be signed out in your Yahoo Mesenger account unexpectedly.

So, here is what you need to do.

Sign in with your Yahoo Mail account. On the upper part of the page, beside your name, click sign out of chat. The message should appear "offline"
Now try signing in with your Yahoo Messenger account. Then after signing in, view the content of your yahoo account. It will not disconnect the connection of your YM.

All you need do is to type mail.yahoo.com on your web browser, it will open a new window, below sign in, you will see dont have a yahoo ID, sign up is easy, click the sign up and fill the form and follow the procedure there in, your account will be created.

Please note the email address and password you enter into the web form, that is what you will be using to sign in.

After you have received account successfully created, you will now enter the mail.yahoo.com on your web browser again, but this time, you will need to enter the yahoo id and password you fill on the form and sign in. that is all.
