The laptop also have some problems in connecting to the internet using vodafone 3G data card. it connects for 20 seconds and then disconnect. some said it is caused by a virus and i scanned the machine and could` nt find one. some said its an antivirus and i uninstalled it and the problem did not go away. please help
Try plugging the 3G dongle to a different USB port, and perform again full installation.
Dongles usually do not need disk, as they have installer files stored on internal memory. If it does require disk, use disk or download.
If you have a PCMCIA data card, uninstall from installed device and install again using the disk.
Throughout this whole process keep the firewall Off.
If that does not help, then test the vodafone 3g adapter on a different computer, if it is still losing connection, then the adapter is defective.
Also ensure you have credit on your SIM card. If there is not enough credit, Vodafone will keep logging you off until the account is charged.
You can download drivers for laptop on acer site go trou suport menu select laptop and so on
