Windows WiFi Fix,
Windows Zero Wireless Configuration is one of the best programs to run a WiFi in Windows XP or Vista. Most of the other software packages that come with the different adapters have been poor at best in keeping a connection through Windows. Here is the best guide to get you back up and connected.
Windows XP:
Click Start
Right click on My Computer
When a window pops up click on properties
Click on the Hardware tab
Click Device Manager
Click the [+] next to Network Adapters
Find your wireless card and right click on it.
Click Disable
Windows may warn you that disabling the device may make it stop functioning.
Continue disabling the device.
Wait 30 seconds or so.
Right click on your wireless again and click Enable.
Exit the device manager.
Reconnect to your router.
You should now be able to connect to the internet.

Windows Vista:

Click Start Logo
Right Click Computer
Click Device Manager
Windows will ask you about opening Device Manager Click Continue
Click the [+] next to Network Adapters
Find your wireless card and right click on it.
Click Disable
Windows may warn you that disabling the device may make it stop functioning.
Continue disabling the device.
Wait 30 seconds or so.
Right click on your wireless again and click Enable.
Exit the device manager.
Reconnect to your router.
You should now be able to connect to the internet.

I purchased a SBG901 and have connected 2 MAC pc's wireless - 1 HP printer and 1 Compag laptop, I have one more pc which is running Vista on a HP Pavilion dv5 and visited the HP website to update

It might not be anything your doing wrong, the wireless portion of the card may have just gone bad. you could check this out by reconnecting your old router back up to verify it works or doesn't. If it doesn't work your wireless in your laptop went bad presuming that the wireless was not deactivated on the laptop. if it does work the Vista Driver may be incompatible with the new router, you may be able to hook up both routers at the same time which would allow you to keep using your HP system.

I upgraded my HP dv5-1150 us to Win 7 and since then wireless switch is not getting on. I am able to access wired internet though. Please help

The issue might be with the wireless drivers. As you have upgraded the operating system of your notebook to windows 7, the drivers might not be compatible with it. You may have to install the wireless drivers for windows 7

My Hp pavilion DV5 Wireless is not working. The wireless assistant says its on, but its not on. Tried turning it off and on but it doesn't let me. Help Please

Have you tried deleting the wireless card from the hardware manager and then rebooting? It should reinstall it upon reboot and rewrite it's config file.

Wireless connection works and then disconnects itself

look for a program on the web called Net Stumbler
It should be here http://www.stumbler.net/
That will show the signal level from your router.
I have seen this before and it could be several different problems
1. Someone else on your channel
2. Burned out ant or output section in the router
3. Broken Ant wire in laptop

Hope this helps
