Have the wiring checked out for proper voltage and ground, when it is acting up. The seasonal change may affect the ground rod, it may not be well grounded.
check the settings on the unit itself sometimes if you have it set up to come down too rapidly it will cause it stop and go back up because it thinks its hit something.
If the main light flashes 10 times when you try to close the door it is a sensor problem. Make sure they are not flickering ever so slightly and that they are not loose on their brackets. Tweak them a little bit.
You have a door sensor problem. Either your main light bulb is burned out or you don't have one in your opener. The clicking sound you hear is the relay for the light. Both of the door sensors should have a small light that is lit. Tweak them until they are.
Check your door sensors. They have probably been bumped. Tweak them until they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not blinking.
