Cannot find the replacement cartridge for my HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m printer. The black (564) cartridge on HP site is for the smaller cartridge. I can find the smaller (564) and the 564XL (which is too large). My printer has the smaller cartridges for the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges - but the black cartridge is slightly larger. Please help on what type of cartridge I need and where I can find it. Thank you!

What program are you printing from? That is what decides the color choice.

Every time I had this problem it was the printer head. Try removing the cartridges, then the printer head. Be sure the head is seated firmly. Try printing again. The printer head expires long before it's suppose to so don't be surprised if this is the problem.

You need uninstall first software driver of HP PHOTOSMART PLUS AIO PRINTER B209A PHOTOSMART PLUS AIO PRINTER B209A All-In-One. and Then reboot your PC. then install again software driver for that printer select English language version.

please try to shake the ink cartridges then reinstall them again, make sure you hear the clicking sound meaning the cartridges are locked in place. you can try and call 800-HP invent or 800-474-6836 for technical support aswell. here is the link for your printer, you can get drivers, manuals and troubleshooting steps here as well.

on the head assembly, you will see some copper pins contacts, try to clean them with cotton swabs dab in alcohol..same with the print cartridge contacts..

Refills are not possible for this cartridge type yet. There is a chip on the cartridge that needs to be reset or replaced for the cartridge to function. Any chips for sale on the internet are technically violating patent law. Any refill kit that tells you to take the chip off your cartridge and place it on their refill is swindling you. Once the chip says the cartridge is empty it WILL NOT print, no matter how much ink is actually left. I would wait until a reputable refiller like Cartridge World or Office Depot offers refills for this cartridge before you try to fill it at home.
