How do I properly use a hand swaging tool for 3.2mm dia wire rope

I have a brand new hand swaging tool for 3.2mm dia stainless steel wire rope. It came with no instructions, is VERY stiff and awkward to use and I am unsure as to how to position the ferrule in the jaw and also on how to adjust the tool to make sure it is asserting enough pressure and swaging the ferrule firmly - any ideas?- my modus operandi so far is to hit the ferrule with a hammer afterwards!!! - not very professional :(

Ken, sorry to hear about your predicament. I too have had problems in the past with hardware, it can be very frustrating. Maybe buying a new tool would solve your problem. https://shemonico.com/index.php

They do make swagginhg tools that are fixed onto the yoke of a flaring kit. to hand swag, you should use the block of the flaring kit to hold your tubing. if you are swagging half inch tubing, hold the tubing up the diameter of the tube plus one eighth of an inch. tighten down the nut opposite the tube first then the closest one. this will keep the tubing from slipping.
Then hit it squarely with a hammer and it will bottom out at the flaring block. I would ease up on that last stroke to keep from cracking the tubing

What is the role of stainless steel products?

Products which are manufactured by stainless steel is mainly depend up on the type and quality of stainless steel means it may be plain, ordinary stainless, like in a handle or pot, then any alloy steel drill will do. On the other hand, if it is hardened stainless like what is used in instruments, you probably will need carbide, although you might get a tool steel drill to make one hole.

Stainless steel is defined as a steel alloy with a minimum of 11.5 wt% chromium content. Stainless steel does not stain, corrode or rust as easily as ordinary steel, but it is not stain-proof. It is also called corrosion resistant steel when the alloy type and grade are not detailed, particularly in the aviation industry. There are different grades and surface finishes of stainless steel to suit the environment to which the material will be subjected in its lifetime. Common uses of stainless steel are cutlery and watch straps.

Can stainless steel rust?

Unfortunately yes, any stainless steel product can get rusty under some circumstances although a stainless steel is much more resistant to corrosion and rust. I suggest you to get stainless steel if you don't want to replace your silverware and kitchen product every couple of months.

Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners such as window sprays, scouring cleansers, flammable fluids, cleaning waxes, concentrated detergents, bleaches or cleansers containing petroleum products on plastic parts, interior and door liners, or gaskets. Do not use paper towels, scouring pads, or other harsh cleaning tools.

How do I clean and care my stainless steel surfaces such as refrigerator or any other stainless steel made appliance?

NOTE: Just because a cleaner is a liquid does not mean that it is nonabrasive. Many liquid cleaners designed to be gentle on tile and smooth surfaces still damage stainless steel.
