At first thought it was door lock mechanism was at fault but proved it to be ok - removed rubber 'boot' which on this model was on two stretchable spring retainers and checked operation of door lock.
Thought door hinges may have been bent so dismantled door, finding the problem to be the pin that the door latch pivots on had come out on one side so not lining up properly. This was easily pushed back into position.

Bendix800 Machine wont start when door is closed over , unless slamed !

Assuming it works OK when the door is slammed shut;
You have 1 of 3 potential problems:
1. The door hinges are failing & when you push the door closed, the latch isn't lining-up with the keeper.
You can test this by lifting the door slightly as you close it & the push it closed as you normally would.
If that works, you just need new door hinges.
2. The latch on the door is failing.
It might be loose, in which case it might just need the screws tightening-up, or it might be damaged & need replacing.
3. The keeper inside the machine, which the latch locks into, isn't working properly.
It might be loose & need re-locating or the screws tightening up.
The electric terminals might be corroded & need cleaning & possibly tightening-up.
The keeper might be faulty & need replacing.

The keeper is inside the machine & you will need to remove the access panels to get at it. DO NOT remove any panels or do any work on the machine until it has been unplugged from the power-supply.
Best of luck.

Indesit WIA121 Flashing Door Lock, Prewash and Spin Lights - Machine not draining

hi something similar has started happening to our washer, after the initial wash starts the machine doesn't do anything for a while then the red door light flashes on and off very quickly as does the 1st and 3rd green wash cycle light?

I think something blocked my door from closing properly as there was water on the floor now the green light is permantly flashing and wont work.

I am not familiar with that make of machine but most machines have an adjustable door lock latch, often they are only secured by a single screw and if this has become loose it may cause your door not to seal tightly and in turn leak. As for the green light it may have a sensor connected to the door latch to indicate it is not properly shut. Try checking the door latch, Adjusting and re-tightning screws.

Neff dishwasher door problem.

The latch on many dishwashers is adjustable. If your door is easy to close but difficult to latch, adjust the latch to let the door close more easily. If you can't see any way to adjust the latch, yours may be fixed in a certain position. Check for other reasons for the latching problem.

Washing Machine powers on but door won't lock and light shows it

There is a switch in the door latching mechanism that is not being closed rendering the machine useless. You have to replace the door latch mechanism. Go to attached site for parts Search Over 2 1 Million Appliance Parts

Indesit wia 121 door lock keeps flashing and when put machine on it goes to a wash without turning dial to correct wash no.

these machines have a memory built into the pcb's which means that if they are switched off or there is a powercut etc they will just carry on from where they were in the cycle as soon as they next power up. if there is a black dot on the timer settings turn the dial to it then switch machine on and this should reset it for you after a few seconds. if this does not work count how many times the doorlock light flashes as this is a fault analysis code they will usually flas then pause for a second then flash again and repeat this sequence until a longer pause (3 seconds) then the sequence starts over.

hope this helps

Indesit WIA 121 washing machine, front loader. The door lock led is continuessly flashing red even when the programme has stopped and the door is opened. I have to switch off at the main plug. Machine is...

One of the main problems with Indesit front loaders ( apart from replacing the door interlock switch) is

If the door will not close and click in the lock, then take the door off with a tork screwdriver and take the screws of the inner plastic off the door (make sure you do this on a flat surface) and gently prize off the inner plasic by running round a flat head screwdriver..
Once you have taken off the door and glass bowel - check out the door catch to see if a metal rod has come out of its housing holding the catch and spring in place and refit or replace.
I have come across many door catches like this.
