Easy, I had this problem too. The reason it isn't playing is because its not in all the way. I was getting very frustrated with this, so I kept trying to push it onto the dock to get it all the way down.
Solution:
1. Play a song on your ipod/iphone so you can hear it through the device.
2. Connect your ipod/iphone to the docking station(Bose) so that you hear the chime(This lets you know its charging).
3. Pick up the docking station and firmly press the ipod/iphone down on the connector.
4. Keep pressing it and wiggling around until you hear the music begin to play through the docking station.
It may take a few tries, but you will get it.
Hope this helped!

Hi. I have power and my i pod charges, but no sound is transmitted even though the i pod indicates it is playing whilst connected to the Zeppelin. Any ideas.

could be the arm, or the interface from the arm to the pcb. if you can play via the aux input it is the arm, if that fails then it is one of the boards inside, contact place of purchase or b and w service.

How do i hook up my i pod up to a mcm530 philips stereo system?

If it has an aux imput all you need to do is get a dock (which will keep the battery charged while playing) or the cheaper way - by connecting a 3.5mm plug to two RCA phono plugs- lead. The 3.5mm plug goes into the headphone output of the I-Pod and the RCA's go into the Aux imput of the Philips.
It can be any imput on the amp (except phono) such as CD or tape.
You will find that you need to turn up the volume on the I-Pod to hear the sound.

My ipod wont stay charged

This may not be the answer you are looking for but your I pod might not be fully charged, meaning that you are not plugging it in the computer/docking system long enough.( it takes much longer than 15 minutes to charge the battery. So you might want to plug it in/dock it over night) Or you may be playing a game that uses a lot of MB/GB so it kills the battery. And make sure that you press the play/pause button down for at least five seconds before switching the little switch at the top of your I pod. If you don't press the play/pause button for five seconds and just switch the switch at the top a little lock will appear on the left corner meaning you need to hold the play/pause button down for five seconds then the i pod screen goes black at that time flick the switch at the top off. -hope it helps owner of i pod nano and I pod touch.

Will not charge, Ipod nano says that this accessory is not supported and shows that it wont charge the battery. also the Teac will not turn off the Ipod or turn it on or it just keeps running . Use to work...

Apple does this so that only Certified accessories have to software to make the hardware circuits charge an i pod, thats especially a problem with some sound docks, my i pod 2 gen works with only 1 of the 3 sound docks that i have tried, but i have a bluetooth i home so i play my music wirelessly

Apple mini i-pod

Try another usb port, but not in a non ac powered usb extension hub, as I Pod's need to be used in powered usb. Older pc's tend to have trouble powering the usb ports enough for the I Pod to be recognised. It may also be a voltage problem, disconnect any other usb peripherals connected and try again.
