If you can give me some more detail, I might be able to help. Are you trying to connect your computer to your TV? If that is the case, most graphic cards can be set for dual output, but in most cases this has to be enabled through the software that came with your graphics card or by going to the properties screen on your computer monitor. There are several ways to do it. Hope this helps

You have to make sure the frequency and resolution are set correctly...ex 60, 70hz, and xxxx X xxxx. If these doesn't match the specs of the tv no picture is displayed. swtich your display options the show both screens and begin changing them to find one that works.....you prolly changed the resolution on your desktop between the last time you had it working and now. and although your Dell and TV should both have an auto adjust feature, they dont always work.
Good Luck and pls rate this post as fixya

My TV doesn't have picture its fuzzy in different areas not the whole screen and makes with clicking noise when its turning on.

Invariably the HDMI cable that you are using to connect the signal is bent and pressing hard against the wall. Can you verify with other ports and other sources.

On my advent roma 2000 laptop, randomly the screen went black when i turn it on but it comes on at the start for 2 seconds then goes off..? what do i do

its overheating, check whether your fan is working, otherwise open it and clean it out, do not use a blower, the spinning fan can overcharge your motherboard and blow it

My Samsung TV picture is supplied via a HDMI lead

yes you need to connect audio out from the tv to audio in on the dvd surround. you need the red/white phono to phono leads, simply connect together and select audio (av,au) on the input selection.

White/Grey screen with non-HD channels

I removed the HDMI cable and connected with component video and rca audio. No more white screen.

Picture quality looks good. I don't know if it's as good as HDMI, but then I don't need to reboot the TV three times to get to teh on-demand menu... Grrrrr....

I am trying to contact Toshiba on this as well. I have seen several reports of this problem on the web.

Not able to get picture when connected to PC via HDMI

bbutler,
Your Toshiba can handle PC screen resolution up to 1024 x 768
Lower the resolution of the PC screen to somewhere between "640 x 480" and "1024 x 768". It will work just fine.
It's not likely that there is a any physical problem with either the PC or HDTV.
1. Right-click anywhere on your desktop
2. [Properties]
3. [Settings] tab
4. Slide the "Screen Resolution" pointer to the LEFT to adjust and click on [OK]
*DONE*

If I tap the rca jacks in the back the screen gets distorted

You need a hdmi connector from your tv source to the TV. RCA connectors don't have the capability for HD signal transmission. You can use them for a connection but the picture will be fuzzy if trying to watch HD signal. Check your cable/dish box to see if there is a hdmi output. If so, buy a hdmi cable & that should solve your problems.

52D82U Fuzzy picture

Change your input source. You are probably on Input Source "TV". My HDMI cable is plugged in INPUT 4 so make sure that your TV is set to the right INPUT.
