Hi tjambarker, sometimes this is an issue with the battery holder. On my N2000 I had the same issue I needed to disassemble the AAA battery holder clean it then, it worked. Another thing to be aware of is on the camera the springs that hold the battery holder in place have two wires that go into the camera. If there was any battery corrosion it sometimes will travel up those wires causing internal camera corrosion. Off to Nikon it goes. You may be better served purchasing a used one for less than $90.

Hi my peugeot partner has a new starter motor showing electrical circuit fault now won't start and have fly charged the battery

If your Peugeot Partner has a new starter motor and is showing an electrical circuit fault, it is likely that there is a problem with the electrical system or one of its components. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the battery connections: Make sure the battery connections are clean and secure. If the connections are loose or corroded, it can cause electrical problems.
  2. Check the starter motor: If you have recently replaced the starter motor, make sure it is installed correctly and that all of the connections are secure.
  3. Check the electrical wiring: Inspect the electrical wiring in the engine compartment to see if there are any loose or damaged wires.
  4. Check the alternator: The alternator is responsible for charging the battery and supplying power to the electrical system. If the alternator is not functioning properly, it can cause electrical problems.
  5. Check for other issues: There could be other issues with the electrical system, such as a malfunctioning control module or a problem with the fuses. In this case, it is best to seek the help of a qualified mechanic who can diagnose and fix the problem.
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, don't hesitate to ask.

2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 - electrically de-activated although battery fully charged.

You've most likely blown a main fuse. Check all the large fuses and fusible links

My 2000 jeep Cherokee sport it's not starting lights don't work, automatic locks don't work its not doing anything. What could it be?

If there's no response from any of the electric/electronic equipment, you may have a dead battery. You can check the battery with a multimeter (make sure you use the Volts range and connect the probes accordingly), you can also check it with a probe light or you can try to connect another car's battery with your battery using jumper cables (positive with positive, negative with negative) and see what happens. If the electric equipment starts working, don't try to start the engine for a couple of minutes to let your battery charge for a while. If there's still no response you may have blown fuses or fusible links.

What is the reason behind an intermittent electrical fault and engine failure

It is a difficult one to answer because it is intermittent and probably will not happen during a fault finding test. Intermittent faults in electrics generally are a result of bad earths ,rusted earths , loose battery terminals and cables into the terminals ,battery posts and terminals not shiny clean, loose connections in the harness, loose fuses holders and fuses harness connecters being dirty at the contact points and an electronic unit that has an internal (ECM) fault that occurs when the road is rough, bumps . For your problem I would be checking that all the connections into the ECM are clean and the connections are tight . Battery terminals and loose wires on the alternator. And one that happens sometimes ,heavy keys hanging from the ignition switch will sway back and forth and momentarily disconnect the run circuit. IT has been known to happen . So I think to be fair to the person doing the diagnostic check it would be akin to looking for a needle in a haystack while wearing brown coloured glasses. When it happens try to be aware of the exact circumstances at the time , how long the car was in operation, weather conditions (hot-cold), What you had working at the time (radio, lights , cigarette lighter, wipers what ever). Anything may seem unimportant at the time but may point to what is happening and so help the mechanic /electriciaan

My xr250 (1997) has an intermitant electric fault where i loose all indictaors and lights i'm thinking it could be the stator what else could it be?

If you don't have a battery the lights will go off when the engine stops. If you have removed the battery you will kill the electrical system ( Very Expensive)

My car was having trouble starting, slow to turn, sometimes stalling out imediately after starting. Yesterday I went to start the car and it wouldn't start. Lights kinda flickered, but absolutely no...

check the earth lead connections to the engine from the car body, undo them, clean them up, and re assemble, then check the electric connectors to the starter motor the same way, check also plug connector is securely pushed into back of alternator.
Another thing to note, you mentioned the lights slowly dimmed after fitting new battery, this could indicate a major short circuit. good luck, P

No power

Hi, I have the same problem with my FZ30. The camera just doesnt turn on. Even the battery when put in the charger, the light of the charger goes of in few minutes or few seconds without properly charging it. Can it be a fault of the battery or the camera itself?
