Tuning a Funai 31B-250 VCR to a Wharfedale L22T11W-A LCD TV

Hi,
I have just purchased the above tv and managed to get the auto tuning of all the digital Freeview channels as well as Sky OK.. I am having difficulty in getting the VCR tuned however. I forgot to turn on the VCR when the initial autotune was being carried out and there doesnt appear to be a way to get back to the autotune and retune including the VCR this time.
The VCR does not have the facility to provide a test picture and is tuned by on screen directions.

How do i get my toshiba regza lcd tv to work via the antenna/cable input

Hi,
Change video source by pressing Input button and select TV, make sure antenna is connected in RF In jack in tv then go to Tuning menu and select Auto Tuning/ Auto Scan option, tv will tune and store all available channels in memory.
Let me know model number of tv if you have additional question.
Thanks.

I just need to know how to link up my Allegro DVD/VCR REMOTE CONTROL to my Phllips Magnavox Television.

TUNING This DVD+VCR is equipped with a frequency synthe- sized tuner capable of receiving up to 181 channels. These include VHF channels 2-13, UHF channels 14-69 and CATV channels 1-125. Auto Channel Programming 1. Choose the SOURCE SELECT option, then use b / B to select TUNER. Use b / B to switch among TUNER, LINE1, and LINE2. 2. Choose the AUTO CHANNEL SET option, then use b / B to find channels. • The tuner will automatically cycle through all available channels (TV/CATV) in the area and place them in the tuner's memory. •After the AUTO CHANNEL SET is complete, the TUNING menu will hide and return to the TV screen automatically. 3. Make sure the TUNING BAND is set appropriately (TV or CATV). • TV : If you are using a standard antenna to receive channels. •CATV : If you are using basic cable to receive channels.

Hi I have just retuned my tv but have found that the identity number(ie BBC1 is D.001, ITV is D.003) for channel 5 is D.800 which Guide plus uses but the TV recognises channel 5 as 005! therefore I cannot...

The retuning process is as follows:

  1. Press the [i+] or MENU button on the remote control to display the DIGITAL INFO menu.
  2. Press the BLUE button to display the MAIN MENU.
  3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to highlight AUTO TUNING then press the OK button to display the AUTO TUNING MENU.
  4. Press the RED button to start the auto tuning process for all available digital channels.
  5. Wait for the process to complete.

If you wish to CANCEL the auto tuning process whilst it is processing then press the BLUE button at any time.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.

PURCHASED 52" LG LCD HAD A GREAT PICTURE.ALSO HAVE DIRECTV. TOUCHED THE MENU BOTTON SAW THE AUTO TUNING, THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE A GOOD FEATURE. WENT AHEAD AND LET IT RUN THROUGH ALL THE CHANELS. NOW IT...

Because you have DirecTV there is no need to use auto tuning. You simply changed inputs on the TV when you started auto tuning. Just use the input button on the remote to go back to the Direct TV receiver. Most likely it will be under Component (Color Stream) or HDMI input.

Problems tuning TV and SLV-900

the video recorder has it's own tuner you do not actually record from the tv... think of the vcr as like a tv but without a screen... connect to your tv via a scart lead and while you are on the vcr's 'channel' (so you could see a tape playing on your tv) and access the menu on you vcr (not the tv's menu) choos auto tune if the vcr supports it or manual tune if it has no auto tune and tune in the required channels on your vcr... it is simply then a matter of selecting on your vcr which channel you wish to record

Tuning VCR into Tv

Set the LCD to TV source and tune the LCD TV channel to 3 or 4.

For best viewing experience, you should connect the LCD TV to the VCR using component / SVideo or RCA cables instead of RF coxial to avoid signal loss. Your VCR manual should indicate these types of connections.

Can't re patch tv with set top box to watch tv

Hi.

Ok here goes.

1) Take airial lead from the wall socket in to antenna in on freeview box.

2) connect short usually black airial type lead in to antenna out socket on freeview. plug the other end of this lead in to aerial in on vcr.

3) connect the other end of this aerial type lead to airial plug on the back of tv.

4) now if you have 2 or more scart sockets on the back of tv set plug in the scarts in this order.
Freeview box scart with tv on it connect to scart 1 on tv set.
Freeview box vcr scart connect to vcr in scart socket on vcr.
Vcr scart marked tv plug scart from here to scart 2 on tv
If you have 3 scart sockets on tv you can connect dvd using scart to scart socket 3 on tv.

If Tv has only 1 scart the aerial leads will stay the same as I have stated,
Freeview must go to scart socket on tv set.
leave second scart from freeview to vcr plugged in so you can record freeview by putting vcr to line 1 or AV 1.
you will need to put tv on channel (0) & tune this channel to the video play a tape that you recognise then go to tv tuning & tune tv untill you see video playing then store this on channel (0).
DO NOT USE AUTO TUNING IT WILL PUT CHANNELS IN THE WRONG ORDER JUST USE MANUAL TUNING.

Now to view Dvd you will either need to purchase A scart switch box. Or have keep unpluging freeview scart from tv so you can plug in dvd .

If your tv has red yellow white phono sockets you can plug dvd in to these, you may need to purchase phono leads.

Hope this helps.
