The wireless switch is broken on my acer aspire 3680. are there any function keys that i can use?
No you need switch,if you use a tiny screw driver you can turn it on with that if its just the plastic peice thats broke.use the screw driver to slide the mechanisam
Almost any Linux distro will have an on/off for the wifi(I used mint 11...18 gets an error message). Yes it works with a broken switch, every time, and unless you unplug or deplete the battery , the wifi stays enabled in windows (7 or 10, anyway) I have 4 of these and 2 have broken switches....all 4 respond to the Linux switch.

Im not sure if there is a workaround for that when the switch is broke but hold down the FN key and press the F4 key and see if that activates the wireless card. If not then you need to get that switch replaced. Hope it helps.
