I'm considering buying a HP CP1217 colour laser printer. I only need it for black and white printing. WHen the colour toners run out, can the printer continue to operate only on the black toner? I don't want to spend money on replacing colour toners.

If you will print only in black and white, your colour toner will never run out.

Printer ink doesn't appear to be dry on colour printing.

Dripping is impossible with laser as the toner is dry. A bad cartridge may cause the color shift. Print the demo page to confirm whether the problem is the printer or your program. Remanufactured cartridges provide very poor results with this model of HP.

Am confused,i want to buy a colour laserjet printer and left with only two options which one should i buy btn hp1600 and cp1525

hiii
Its depends on your printing needs.Printing quality almost same these two printers. If u buy hp 1600 u will get more pages than cp 1525.But u should think about the toner cost. Check your local market price for each toners. Here i will give u the toner model numbers for ur required printers.

hp 1600 - q6000- black,q6001,q6002,q6003 each three colours.- Page yield 2500 pages for black ,2000 pages each colours.

hp cp1525- ce-320a(128a),ce321,ce322,ce323- Page yield -2000 pages for black,1300 each colour pages.

So I am sure hp 1600 toner very costly than 1525 toner. If u dont have huge volume printing better i suggest u buy cp 1525 model. Also this model offering wirless printing .
U can refill this toners lowest cost and getting good results.
sooooooo cheeeeeeers up........select your new printer. best wishes..........

My Canon lbp 2410 will print in black and white but not colour i have changed the drum cartridge and replace all colour toners Thanks Vicki

Check your printer settings in properties. It may be that the mono black only box is ticked. Untick the box for printing in colour.

My Dell 1320c Colour Laser Printer prints black as grey. How can I get it to print black?

If you have an extra black toner cartridge, try installing that and see if it fixes the problem. If it doesn't make sure Toner Save Mode is off (in the print driver, under Preferences). If your copies still come out gray instead of black, you may need to replace the Print Head Unit (PHD).

My yellow cartridge reads low on my hp L7680 all in one. can I override this? I just need to make copies in black and white.

Because the inkjet printer assumes you will always want to be able to print in colour (after all, why else would you buy a colour printer) it will want to keep the jets clean and available for printing.

As a result the printer will always run cleaning routines that use up some of that precious ink otherwise the printhead would clog and then you wouldn't be able to use it properly.

Bottom line is that you need to get a new cartridge. Frustrating but in the context above it hopefully makes a bit more sense..

If you are really only ever doing mono (Black and White) printing then I'd seriously consider a mono laser type unit as the consumables are cheaper and you'd avoid all this waste too.

Hope that helps and sorry it's not quite the answer you were hoping for.

Bought a canon super g3 laser printer approx 8 months ago which prints in black and white. can i put a colour cartridge into this printer?? thank you

Super G3 is not the model. It is Canon's fax technology. It is classified as a laser fax/printer. This is a monochrome printer which means you can print only one colour at a time. You can print all black or all yellow, all red or whatever colour cartridge is available. It has no capability to mix colours. Not any colour (including black) toner will work as the composition is different to suit the printer model. Hope this helps.

Black toner

I had the problems with white smear type fading on one side of the page , when pritning black, but colour printing seems OK. Did everything suggested in the manual and more. Changed toner. Been working on it a week.  (I got 2000 pages out of that thing).
Now I have the solution. Bin the Samsung and buy a Canon.
