Fax chews paper when receiving a fax, sends perfectly

Have a Samsung SF-3200T fax, which lately has developed a habit of chewing up the paper as it feed down into the fax to have the message printed. The fax continues to operate, but the paper gets "concertinaed" and torn by the traversing ink head.
The fax then has to be stopped manually and the paper removed .

When sending the problem never occurs !!

Can you give me some clues please.
Cheers
Tony

Where it is receiving the fax and sending it are 2 different locations.

There must be a piece of paper in the paper path causing it to get "concertinaed ?????

when sending it is NOT going trough the same path.

Here is the manual, there may be some help in the troubleshooting section

Sf-5100 issue

Kindly check the setup. Before anything refer to manual and check that you are getting a dial tone for sending in a telephone set.

SF-3100 Paper feed problem

You need to clean the friction pad. If you open the part where you put your sheets in to send faxes you will see a white pad behind the cover. You need to clean it, if it still feeds more than one page the pad is probably worn.
