My samsung digimax a5 digital camera wont switch on the red light comes on then nothing is it able to be repaired or is there a fault with this model thanks
SOURCE: Can my Samsung Digimax A6 be used as a webcam?
No. For a camera to be used as a webcam, it requires special drivers and also the camera has to have webcam capabilities. The A6 has neither of those.

This seems to be a familiar problem with most of the Samsung digimax series: It has been noted for some strange reason that the internal memory of the camera eventualy packs up. Once an external memory card (SD mini) is inserted the camera seems to be functional again....

For digital cameras you should use either Rechargeable(whith high Ampere) or high performance alkaline batteries (ie. Lithium Duracel or Enegizer) normal alkaline batteries will not be able to charge the Flash. If you are useing high performance batteries then it is sadly your camera which is faulty. repairing it you could but it is cheaper to get a new camera.
Good luck!
