The wires are color coded, there should be a sub base, yellow, to yellow, white to white, black to black, green to green, and red to red

Typical wiring for thermostats: white to W, red to R, green to G, yellow to Y. If it is a heat pump, orange to O/B. blue to C. However, not all stats have a common.

Change battery on honeywell thermostat RTH2300B1012/U

You need to remove the thermostat from the wall plate to change the battery. Look on the bottom of the thermostat for a locking screw. Loosen this screw with an appropriate screw driver. Then pull the bottom of the thermostat away from the wall plate and then lift up from the bottom. When you put the thermostat back on, line up the brackets at the top of the thermostat with the slots on the wall plate. Then push the thermostat against the wall plate and tighten the locking screw.

The documentation for the Honeywell RTH2300B1012/U is available on the product page: https://www.honeywellstore.com/store/products/5-2-day-programmable-thermostat-honeywell-rth2300b.htm . Click on the Manuals tab. See page 4 (page 6 of the PDF) for removing the thermostat from the wall plate. See page 9 (11 of the PDF) for replacing the batteries and putting the thermostat back on the wall plate. The current link to the manual is https://www.honeywellstore.com/store/images/pdf/rth2300b1012-u-5-2-day-programmable-thermostat.pdf .

I hope this helps.

This thermostat is mounted mid-wall on a brick wall and consistently reads 4 degrees warmer than 2 other thermometers in the room. Can the thermostat be recalibrated? How?

A manual for the thermostat is needed to recalibrating if doable, thermostat model number and brand needed to get the right manual.
A thermostat mount location should be planned. Any holes leading into the wall should be sealed, in other words, the thermostat needs to be insulated and isolated from fake temperature readings, no back drafts or not heat or cooling sources near by.

Hunter 44860 touchscreen thermostat- My thermostat displays "LO". My wife said she played with it and can't fix it. He heat won't shut off! I thought it was the batteries so I replaced them. I noticed...

I suggest to everyone NEVER to buy a cheap thermostat from any box store regardless of brand. Always go with Honeywell or White Rodgers high end stats and DO NOT lose their booklets.

How do i reset my honeywell thermostat

Remove thermostat from wall, leaving base plate on wall.
Model number appears on back of device.
Google search thermostat model in following format: Honeywell xxxx32 thermostat .pdf
Adding .pdf to search parameter will yield product manual.
Also while thermostat is off the wall, change batteries located in compartment on back of thermostat. These batteries must be changed periodically, for example each 3-4 years.

My CP06E10 airconditioner cools non stop without cycles .Goes on Cooling beyond set temp risking burn-out. Apparently thermostat stopped working. What can I do?\r\nThanks. abul It started a few days...

The thermostat is built into the touch pad, along with transistor board, the part replacement is almost as expensive as the whole ac unit,I dont know witch wire to tell you is the thermostat, wire, but it may be marked thermostat,if so,put,in line on that wire a manual thermostat for and older model ac,none of the new ones will have a manual thermostat. So ask for a manual thermostat control,I hope this helps.

I have a White Rodgers digital thermostat .I do not have the manual.I am getting a lo battery message. How do I replace the battery? Does it come off the wall or is there an easy way to open it? I dont...

The outer shell of the thermostat pushes on(clips) to mounting bracket attached to wall.

1. Remove the packing material from the thermostat. Gently

pull the cover straight off the base. Forcing or prying on

the thermostat will cause damage to the unit

This is the manual for your unit.

Honeywell thermostat manual

The model number is going to be on the thermostat. It is not unusual for the number to be on the back of the stat, meaning you may have to take it off the wall. It could also be found betweenthe base ans the stat.

Once you have the model number googel "Honeywell XXX" with XXX being the stat model number. If you can't find the stat, you can go to the Honeywell web site and do a search, matching your stat, by the pictures and functions. It is a bit tedious, but it works.
