I just got a replacement curve and I want to set up my existing email on it but I forgot my password how can I locate my password?

First things first: you must gain access to your existing email account by typing that into the first open field. If your current password is refused when typed into the password field, you should be prompted to "reset password" or "forgot password?". Follow those prompts and reset your password to regain access to your existing emails. Once that account is opened you may then create a new and different email address from the account homepage. However, your present email address will still receive emails sent to that address. Only mail addressed to the new email address will be sent there. You can use one address for your primary or important mail and the other for personal mail.

Hi, this is due to software upgrades done OS. You can try one of the following, either do a complete security wipe, wherein u enter the personal password incorrectly, just follow the promptings, then use a different email adress, or connect to a computor, and backup yr data first, then do a wipe, but still using a different email, or enter the original email adres and click on forgot password, they will send an email to that email, which u will have to access either on the fone or computor.......

You cannot create a new email account using an existing email address. Most email providers have a link on the login page where you can tell them you forgot your password. Use that to give them your email address and they will email you a new password.

When posting your question, it would have been helpful to say which email provider you are using (hotmail, outlook, googlemail, yahoo etc.) so the reply could have been more specific to your needs.

Password reset

Go to http://appworld.blackberry.com/ and select login. From there, select "forgot password". This assumes you remember the email address you registered.

Be forewarned: If you only have one email address associated with your account, losing access to your email could mean losing access to your Facebook. You can still access your account by using your email address and password. Also, you can find a lost password by mobile phone if you assigned one. If you forgot your password or email address, you can do the following:
From Facebook:
"If you registered a username, try logging in using your username and password. A username is your personalized Facebook URL (web address) and appears in the location bar of your browser after "http://www.facebook.com/" when you view your profile. After logging in, visit the Settings tab on the Account page to locate the email address you use to log in."OR "Ask one of your Facebook friends to view your profile and send you the email address listed on your account. To do this, ask your friend to click on the "Info" tab on your Profile page and scroll down to 'Contact Information.'"

Forgot my skype password

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
If you have forgotten your password. You need to click "forgot the password" under the password text field in the skype login window. They will ask for the email. Provide the email that you have already provided when registering with skype ID. Once you have provided the RIGHT email. They will send a temporary code on the provided email and using that code, you can set your new password.

If you contact Blackberry they can reset it. They charge $50/hour though.

To speak with them free, contact your provider (if AT&T, 800.331.0500), the customer care will transfer you to technical support. The technical support will transfer you to CDS (consumer data support). CDS will transfer you to Blackberry free. It sounds like a headache but this will take 5 minutes at the most and will save you $50.
