Providing you saved the SD card info as soon as you got it, reformat the SD card and copy the files over. Or find a friend that has the same unit and copy their files. Reformat your card before also.

While using my Magellian GPS 1200 the screen froze up and when I went to restart it the following messang appeard.SD card has been removed.Program will restart. Please insert SD card with map. I tried re...

More then likely when the screen froze up on you it it had a little power glitch as well, nothing serious but it did wipe out some of the information in it's memory about the SD card.Power the unit up and let it come up with the error, then use the reset button. Might be hard to find since it's just a little hole with the word reset around it, using a paperclip push in the button and see what happens. If the error comes up again then i am thinking that you will need a new SD card. Quick test for this, remove the SD card from the gps unit and try rebooting, it should come up with an error, no SD card or no map, stick in an SD card from another device, 2gb, see if the gps can find the card, it should give you an error that says unable to find maps. If you get these error codes then most likely the gps unit is fine but it pooched your programs on the SD card.
Hope this helps

Won't work "sd card has been removed" shown on screen

It is looking for the map file on the sd card. Usually you can just go in the config menu and tell it to use the internal map (if this model has it). It may not be as detailed as what was on the sd card but will get you around.

If the SD is still in the unit the SD may have failed or become corrupted.

FTAT files deleted and can't boot up.

Here's the files from my RM 1412, I just copied the folders and RAR'd them up.

Hope this works. I'd put these files in and reset your RM 1412 with the "Reset" button on the right.

Good luck!

Missing SD Map Card on Magellan Roadmate 1212

Unfortunately even if you do find a card it will not work with your unit because the cards have to be for that unit.If it is from another unit the codes will not allow it to work. The only option I know of is to purchase your map for that unit and put it on a sd card

Magellan Roadmate 1412 abruptly stopped recognizing street names

Just a suggestion, try reseating the data (SD) card.  You can carefully pry up the cover (it is plastic with glue on the bottom.  Then pull it up then push it back in to make sure it is seated.
