Your hard disk has failed or the disk is not connected correctly.
Check data and power connections
Check Master/Slave jumper on disk if it is not a SATA drive
Press F2 or DEL at boot to access motherboard setup and see if the disk appears
If you still don't see your disk it has failed.
Have a computer service shop perform the work and assist you with installing...might be cheaper to buy a new computer...

A hard disk drive may be come locked or unlocked allowing or not allowing for software to have direct disk access. You may encounter an error indicating to unlock the hard disk drive in any of the below circumstances.
