SETTING DATE&TIME

i cant get a manual for this but watches have standard mechanical function so maybe this will do.
the center crown of the watch right side of the picture, loosen the crown. Be careful, some crown have a screw function so if your bulova has this don't force to pull it to prevent damage. if you have loosen the crown, check if can be turn it, if yes pull gently the crown, first pull date adjust, second pull time adjust.
This is the proper way to adjust you day and time.
say you want to adjust your watch to (date)10th (time)10:15am
adjust your date to 9th, then move your watch hands clockwise until the date change at 12oclock this is the evening time (PM) continue moving your watch hands until you reach 10:15am.
if your crown is a screw time remember to turn it close tightly for waterproofing.

Hello, I was watching shopnbc and heard salesman describing winding the mainspring for automatic prodiver which I attempted as described. Screwed myself out of a working watch (lol)! Can I fix myself?...

the crown/ winder has three positions
unwind the crown nad pull out slightly is for winding the watch.
position two pull out slightly more it should adjust the date .
and then finally position three fully pulled pout will adjust the time.

If it does not do this then is possibly the winder pivots broken/faulty.

How to set dates, etc.

mcdevito75 here, The stem should be 2 position, first pull the stem out to adjust the DAY ot Month, push the stem back in, now slip a fingernail just under the stem anf lift to the stems first position, this should allow you to change the DATE, adjust to 1 day before the DATE you need, now lift the stem to adjust the time, go thru the complete 24 hour cycle to adjust the DATE and time of day. You should have the DAY or Month and correct date and your watch will change the DAY, DATE at the proper time also.

I have a new watch with swiss movement and i cant set the date

The general way of setting the date on watches is to pull out the winder (there should be two "out" positions). The full out position adjusts the time and the half way out adjusts the date.

Some watches will not pull straight out and need to be screwed anticlockwise first.

If this does not solve your problem, then what is the make and model of your watch?

Cant set the date to one day before

Pull the stem out gently until it clicks once. Turn counterclockwise until the correct date appears. Pulling the stem out to the second/last click adjusts the time.
