Samsung LN-T4032H TV keeps making a clicking sound and will not turn on. continues to click and the red light flashes on and off.Doesn't stop until power code is unplugger.
This is the capicator $1.50. You have to take off the back, sauter off the capicator (you'll see it because it is poking out) and sauter on the new one. I found the fix on this web-site.

If you unplug for a minute and hit the power button it sound like it is coming on then it shuts off and the red power light flashes slowly. The TV is a Panisonic 1080i HDTV, about 6-7 years old. ... I have an old type sony tv with the big back and the red power light keeps flashing and ...
A continuous flashing red light with the word LAMP on it would definitely mean you're going to need to spend a few bucks on a new lamp....or for a few more, upgrade to a TV from this century that doesn't require lamp changes :)
Th clicking is from the power relay. You will have to open it up, the first place to look will be the power supply module, look to see if it has any bad caps with leaking/bulging tops first, caps can look OK but can be bad due to high ESR.
Hi,
sounds like power supply issue that many Samsung customers are dealing with. Check out this link:Samsung lawsuit it goes into detail about the failure and who to contact about it. thx
The clicking noise is coming from the power supply relay. Is makes this sound when the TV is usually turned on or off but has become faulty. It will only get worse over time usually until the TV will no longer turn on anymore. You need to replace the power supply in order to fix the TV.
There is a problem with the power supply in your TV. The regulator switch is causing teh clicking sound you hear. In order to fix it, you will need to replace the power supply. This is done by taking off the back cover of the TV, locating the power supply which is usually a yellow board that will have many high voltage capicators on it and replacing it with a new one.
Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board. I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.
We have the same problem we have had ours for 2 months, went to turn it off the and the tv froze, could not turn it off or change channel. We had to turn it off at the power point, now it will not turn on at all. The red light flashes but no picture.
