When trying to use either upper or lower oven, panel flashing "Control Locked." Won't work.

Try this:

2. Currentoptionwillappearin thedisplay.

3. PresstheAUTOSETpadtochangethe

4. PressCANCELpadtosetthe displayed

The LOCK is option 4 change the OPTION from 4 to 9.
9 is the factory default settings.

This should work. However.... there is the possibility that the unit had performed a self clean function. If you just completed a self clean cycle it can but up to 1 hour AFTER the cycle before you can open the door or use the oven as the range must cool down and cycle a thermostat before it wil work again.

There is also the possibility that the door lock has not completely retracted. If you can get it to start a self clean cycle.... after 1 minute press cancel and the lock should retract. (I know you said won't do anything) I am hoping that after you reset the options from 4 to 9 that you might be able to do this.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

We have a frigidaire self cleaning oven . It made a bang and now there there is no power to my oven. Clock does not work , Burners on stove still work.

According to your symptoms, it appears that you will need a new electronic oven control board. If nothing on the range heats, you could have a tripped breaker on the 120 volt L2 leg of 240 volt power. This would prevent the cook top burners and the oven elements from heating.

Can I use the stovetop when my oven is self cleaning?

Yes you should be able to but there are a couple things to consider. When the oven is in the self-cleaning cycle the heating element reaches a very high tempature and runs for extended periods. So if you have a couple top burners going the amperage draw could possibly trip the electrical breaker. Also there is a lot of heat generated around the range during the cleaning cycle and it may be to hot to actually work around the range. There are some ranges that dis-able the top burners during the self-clean cycle. If that is the case with your range then the answer would be no. The way you would know for sure is to try them during the self-cleaning cycle or consult your owners manual.

Model FEFL78CBC frigidaire oven bottom (bake) burner won't work everything else works fine --even broiler element works fine. Just used self-cleaning cycle, which did work. Next morning oven won't heat ....

We had the same thing happen and now they came and said it was the clock that needs to be replaced. They said that controls the oven. Even though clock is on and working the function for turning on the oven is not

Kitchenaid Range KGRA806PSS Control Panel Not Functioning

You're right about not using the self clean option. Your oven gets up to over 800 degrees when you use that feature. You can choose to simply keep your oven wiped out, rather than self clean it. The timer is most likely going out if the "stop" button doesn't work after cleaning. Please call or email us and we will be sure toget the right part for you. I hope this solves your problem. Ella

Oven not heating KitchenAid KERC506HWH3

Built-in ovens have a thermal fuse mounted in the back of the oven preventing the bake and broil from operating. In some cases this fuse will open after a self clean operation. In some models, the cooling fan turns off too soon, causing an overtemperature condition that may also cause the fuse to open. You will have to remove the oven and take off the back panel to gain access to this device.

Oven not heating KitchenAid KERC506HWH3

It could be the sensor. Remove the sensor and check for 1 to 1.1K ohms. at room temp. If that's not the problem it may be the oven solenoid on the burner. You can also have a problem with the door lock making when it shouldn't check that also.
