Got the phone 2 weeks ago, was working fine until last night. Switched it off - to charge. This morning tried switching it back on but to no avail. Removed the battery, then replaced it after an hour and still nothing. Steady red light when tried charging again (thinking that it's not fully charged).
Any / all feedback welcome...

well only the people that doesnt have internet or anything like that, you might need to do this.
1) go to Options.
2) go to Mobile Network
3) then where it says Data Services, it have to be turned off.
That happened to my phone and now is normal like before.

Lots of battery issues with the Bold. Try taking the battery out, keeping it out and connecting to PC with USB. Do any lights come on? Red light should appear. Put battery in while connected to USB.
Another fix that I found for a friend-leave the battery out of the unit for a day-put it in and plug in power cord or USB. It worked.

If you did a hard reset and tried a firmware restore then you most likely have a logic board issue. If your carrier doesn't help you or your're out of warranty you can try to replace the logic board yourself with a blackberry bold repair guide.

Try removing the battery for about 20 seconds and then put it back in and restart the phone. This is a form of a hard reset but it will not erase anything.
