Need software update and direction

I suspect the software that came on a CD is not good. How can I get software downloaded? Where do I go? I have tried through Nikon and it seems way too complicated.
How can I (using Nikon View) transfer a file of pictures to a CD?
Is it possible to talk to a real human and get tutored through some of these steps.

I'm trying to load the software disk that came with the computer and it does not work

If it cannot read the CD/DVD that came with it you could try downloading the software directly from Kodak. They have the drivers and included software for your product there. Go here for their software for your device and Windows XP or 7:
Software and Driver

They also have firmware updater software and other downloads available. If you do not feel comfortable clicking on the link then just go to www.kodak.com , select their Support & Downloads link on the right hand side, click on Printers when you get to that page, select your device and just choose what you need for it.

Good luck!

My Pavilion dv6700 does not recognize my webcam, why?

Hi,

This is normally the case when you are not using the updated or correct webcam drivers. When you purchase a webcam it normally comes with a CD that has the software to run the webcam. Install this software if you can. If you do not have the CD I would recommend you visit the website of the webcam manufacturer and download them from the site. The site will have the most up to date software and I recommend using this. If the webcam is fairly old, the software on the cd might not work.

I would also recommend updating the computer drivers directly through the HP site. You can click here for the HP driver update site.

Updating the software should resolve this issue. Let me know if you have any questions.

G33k

I lost my install disc where can i download the software for my computer?

You don't need the small cd that came with the Sansa Clip.

http://www.sandisk.com/

Go to the website, clik on support

Clik on Sansa Clip

If you installed the updater when you first got it.. the updater will be located in your program folders Sandisk/Updater.

The little CD was for installing the Rhapsody download software if I remember right.

You can update the firmware on your clip either by using the updater or doing manually.. all the instructions are on the support site.

Good luck!

Laptop does not recognize the Cd Rom anymore.

You have a very common issue. Your system is having a SOFTWARE CONFLICT with your MEDIA SOFTWARE.. Go directly to the SOFTWARE manufacturer's Website and Download/Install the Latest Updates to remedy the issue. You can also call them for further assistance as well.. GOOD LUCK!! Please rate me, k?
