SOURCE: won't charge on Bose SoundDock

You're not doing anything wrong. Newer iPods and the iPhone require accessories that were specifically designed for them. For example, the iPod interface in my car will not charge my iPhone, however, I can still play music through it.

The only solution is to: 1: Buy a SoundDock II or 2: Charge your ipod seperately.

SOURCE: "Charging not supported by this accessory"

The iPod 2nd Gen changed how it charges and all those devices that once charged your older iPod, will no longer charge this one unless you get the adapter which is at the apple store and I have seen it at walmart for about $30. that device converts the power for you so it will charge. my adapter works perfectly.

My ipod touch touchscreen has stopped working. ipod is fully charged and all buttons work but i cannot unlock. touchscreen is not responding

Try and press the top button and the home button at the same time for about 7 seconds.

Hopefully your Ipod closes down and you will see the Apple logo on your screen.

Just let it initialize and syncronize.

This will hopefully help. If not you might need go to your Apple retailer and leave it for repair.

Good luck

Just bought a ipod but dont know how to use it

The first thing to do would be to download itunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/ and install it on your computer. Once installed plug in your ipod to using the supplied usb cable. You will be able to charge your ipod and update the software on your ipod. Once it is fully charged you can use itunes to transfer music onto it. As there are so many things you can do on your ipod you should download a manual from http://support.apple.com/manuals/

My iPod touch isn't able to charge and doesn't show up in my computer and iTunes, what could be the problem I talked to the people at apple, but they said that nothing is wrong with the USB cable?

It probably needs a reset.

The apple support page is here>

http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/

There are trouble shooting instructions on the page.

Ipod Touch 8gb problems

Hi K,

Ahhh, everything has suddenly become very clear :) All is well and there is nothing wrong with your ipod. Heres what you need to do.
  • First, install the very latest version of iTunes onto your PC or Mac - Download it from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Tip: Uncheck the two boxes and don't enter your email address
  • Once that's installed, start iTunes up and connect your iPod to the computer via a USB2 port (any on a laptop but not through a hub; on a PC tower use only one of the USB ports on the rear of the machine, ie, none of the ports on the front) - It's gonna need charging (That's what the Batt symbol is showing) so leave it for a good 2hrs.
  • While it's charging I'd recommend spending some time familiarizing yourself with the user guide - it explains alot of these symbols and more importantly how to get started with your new iPod. You can download the manual from here: http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipodtouch
  • When it's good and charged then follow the onscreen instructions for the iPod on iTunes. You have to register the iPod first before you can use it. So once you've done this all will be well in the world for you. See page 5 and 6 of the manual.
All the best
