if still under warranty youshould take it back to t mobile as a factory defect and get them to fix it as far as i know it sounds like a sensor or such that went out but they wont take it to repair if it is from water damage
most wireless stores have a repair center. but usually takes time. try looking in your phonr book for wireless phone repair for a speedy fix or check out dr cell phone @ 1-877-349-7297. they have a 1-3 day turn around for repairs
