My American Standard whirlpool pump will only hum.

The pump will hum and get real hot but does not circulate any water. Wondering if that is the sign of a bad pump or something I can repair. I was planning on removing the pump to diagnose but cannot find the manual. The American Standard part number is 752538-300. Ultra Jet Part number is 10-10-007. UL model PUWWSCAS12598R. Date code is 11-06-04.

The bearings (or bushings) of the pump or pump motor have siezed, these can be replaced on some models but for the most part you will need to replace the pump and/or pump motor. and as where to get parts, i would suggest the outlet from wich you purchased the unit or another appliance outlet. Or if you feel up to the challenge, im sure you could find replacement parts on the internet: google, ebay, etc.

Exact replacement for old American Standard G25 boiler?

It sounds like it has been mis-wired. The circulator pump should run all the time the boiler is on and should continue to run when heat is called for so it circulates the water in the radiators as it cools. There is normally an electronic valve that shuts flow to the radiators when only hot water is needed. Call for heat and that valve opens. It sounds like you need a mature, old school boiler / central heating technician who has lots of real world experience with older boilers.

If you have a large screwdriver, you can use it against the pump as a stethoscope to listen for the pump running. The noise is very distinctive.

Dishwasher fills with hot water then does nothing

Do you get any humming noise when you turn it ON?

How long its been you used the dishwasher last time...?

If you are getting an humming noise then Sounds like the water circulator pump is stuck. The motor tries to turn it (humming noise), but cannot. So a breaker trips (self reset). Not claiming this is actually the problem, but this is what the motor turns.

Whirlpool Pump - Hums, no water flow...

The impeller and/or motor shaft is stuck or seized. If accessible you can try rotating the motor shaft with a visegrip plier or similar tool to see if it will come lose. Otherwise you should consider having the pump taken out and overhauled. Often the shaft seal begins leaking and result in water damage to the motor bearings. Bearings can be replaced, but compare labor and parts for overhaul to simply replacing the whole pump.

Water runs very slowly when trying to fill jet tub.

Check to see if there are any screen type filter to the tub as debris may be clogging it. Also air lock can occur but it should not be causing problems as 90% clear them selves.....

American Standard Motor humms

I think there is a clear or black tube connected to the pump on the back of the black box on top of the pump motor, there is a nut where the tube attaches to the back, unscrew this nut and pull the tube out. If it is not the tube type switch, the pump motor power plug should be plugged into a black or blue control box, this box should have a wire going to the switch in the tub. If you have a buzzing noise, the pump or motor is probably seized, This is caused from lack of use or using bath oils or soap in the tub, When you get the pump and motor out to check, stick a screwdriver in the back of the motor(center of motor hole may or may not have a plug in it) and turn the screw, itshould spin freely with little or no resistance.

Instructions for American Standard Safe-T-Heater #9075.120

Once the heater is installed and the whirlpool pump is operating, the heater is totally automatic. The heater will help maintain the temperature of the water in the bath. The heater is equipped with a preset pressure switch. The pump must be running with water flowing in the whirlpool to allow the heater to turn on. The Indicator Light light turns on whenever the heater is operating. The heater includes an exclusive "Intelligent High-Limit". This safety circuit will not "false trip" from hot tap water. It will only turn the heater off if the thermostat fails. If the high-limit trips frequently, call a service technician. To manually reset the circuit in the event that the "High-Limit" switch has been activated, simply (1) Turn off the whirlpool pump. (2) Drain water from the tub. (3) Remove power from heater by unplugging at receptacle or turning off circuit breaker. (4) The heater circuit will automatically reset in less than 15 minutes. (5) Restore power to the heater. (6) Whirlpool bath is now ready to use.
Good Luck,

Whirlpool pump only buzzes.

Well there are two things....You say "buzzes?" Like pump is running "humming" & not pushing water. That would be an "airlock" in the pump & it needs to be primed.
If it's "buzzing" & pump motor is not turning (Like it's froze) you might have a bad start up capacitor on the pump that needs to be replaced. Worst case scenerio entire pump needs replacement.

Whirlpool DU8900 XT-5 the water comes in at beginning of cycle and the heater heats the water, but the machine does not go any further. it kinda' hums but no water gets pumped and moving. at end of cycle...

if you can hear a low humming noise when it should be pumping water round, then suspect the circulating pump.
fault can be motor capacitor - low cost part
or
pump seized - see if you can turn it by hand
