LinkSys WRT54G router's passwords will not work.

On the back of your router is a 'reset' button. Use a toothpick or a pen to press it for approximately 5 seconds. Once this is done you can log in with the default user and password.

• Open your web browser
• Browse to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
• The default username is: (blank)
• The default password is: admin

Only type in the password, and don't enter anything in the username field. In case this doesn't work try the following credentials:

• Default username: admin
• Default password: admin
  

Open your browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and press enter. It will open configuration page. Type Admin as user ID and again admin as password. or admin as user ID and password as password. Now start configuring the router by pressing "Quick Setup" option.

go to your internet explorer
type 192.168.1.1 on the Address Bar
Enter your CURRENT password default is
Username: admin
Password: leave it blank
go to Administration
you should be able to see Password and Re-Enter Password
Type in the Password you want then hit Save Settings.

Type in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar
username dont type anything
password is admin

click okay

wireless settings and start the setup again.

On your wired computer, opened internet explorer and type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 then press enter.

It will ask you for a Username and password, type admin on the username and type your Administrator password on the password field (default password is admin).

Then you will be directed to a setup page, go to the wireless teb then click on the wireless security tab. You will see your password there .

Are you typing that IP address into your web browser? 192.168.1.1 is the default address that the WRT54G uses, so if that's not the right address, then it got changed somewhere along the lines. You can reset your router to set it back to its default settings, which would be 192.168.1.1.

Once you pull up the configuration software in your browser, you may need to log in with the username and password you chose -- otherwise the default username and password are "admin" and "admin".

Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of the Internet Explorer and hit enter. Do not type anything in username and type admin in password(only if you have not set the router password).

Now click Access Restrictions tab. Click Enable and restrict the acess according to your need.

the default password and username both are:
admin admin

if the password doesn't work, leave the username empty and password admin

if that doesn't work press and hold the reset button for 30seconds or more to restore default settings.

The default password of the linksys router is admin just leave the username blank, if admin did not work reset the router so it will be back to its default settings with default password admin and leave the username blank ..
