I just bought a new Compaq desktop and am trying to load my Office Home and Student. I keep getting a error message; setup cannot find office.en-usoffice MUI.msi. Browse to a valid installation source and then click o.k. Help!

Check to see if there is any trial versions of MS Office installed on your machine, there is an issue when trying to install MS Office H&S 2010 if there is a trial version still on the hard drive.
Delete everything in that folder (if you cannot delete any file, leave it) Restart computer and start the setup. If any error, tell me the error number or whatever extra message that it shows.
The only thing i suggest you here is to remove the older all the versions of MS office from your computer and then completely install new MS office.
That would solve the problem.
Thanks
Jimmy
the best thing "try to reinstall ms office" because of "a problem during install", and while installing new one make sure of "customized install" process. Again if you got the same, try to use "specify" the log file "error message", I do wait for your reply.. have fine
Return the disk to the seller. Also microsoft support ofgfer free help on new installations. If all else fails Get the free openoffice software that does evertyhing MS does and more reads. wreites and saves in MS formats and can be used on more than one PC and costs zilch!
