Toshiba Camileo h20 battery problem Toshiba Camileo H20 camcorder bought in July O9 Worked fine on 2 week holiday and have recharged the battery 2 or 3 times since. Latterly battery charge didn't last very long (approx. 30 mins). Battery now run down and will not recharge at all - battery light comes on camera initially but does not flash to indicate charging as it should - camera is turned off - eventually light just goes out and camera remains uncharged. Have looked at forums had cannot see a solution (and yes, I have taken the cover strip off the battery terminals!) Surely the battery should last longer than this? any suggestion appreciated.

It's eight years old now, and if as you say it has had intermittent use, then the battery will probably have died unless charged at last once a month.

SOURCE: Battery Recharging

Okay, the same thing happened to me. I ordered a new battery and that was not the problem since the same blinking light was haunting me! So I bought a wall charger for the battery alone and then it worked again on the original docking station. Apparently it will not recognize a completely dead battery on the docking station. It makes no sense but it worked for me. So good luck to you!

SOURCE: set date and time comes up every time i turn on camera

Try resetting your camera. In picture taking mode press menu. Go to setup, go up to reset, press right arrow, make sure reset is highlighted and press set.

Then TAKE OUT MEMORY CARD. Go back into menu, go to setup, go up to format, press right arrow and highlight format, press set. Input ur date and time again and then power off and back on. If that doesn't help then you have to send into repairs. 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2 and they will tell you where to send it.

SOURCE: Battery Dont Charge

jpierre's solution (in another thread) was right on the money. Touch the positive (+)end of the 9v battery to the positive (+) end of the camera battery.Leave them touching for a few seconds (10 seconds should be more thansufficient). Seems these lithium-ion batteries are subject to a'digital memory.' Subjecting it to a volt surge almost three timeshigher seems to clear it.

In short, it works like a charm.

Hi There, You probably have a blown out fuse. Unless your a service tech with a service manual, it may be hard for you to locate where the fuses are. A panasonic service depot could give you a proper estimate.
Thanks, mr cicmo

Camileo h10

The charging lamp burning, does not give any guaranty about the quality of the battery. It only shows power is applied to the battery.
Your battery although it still can have a little charge, can be on its end of life. The only way to be sure the battery is still fine is to measure its voltage with a multi meter. If you do so, the voltage should be above the voltage printed on the battery. The nominal voltage on the battery is the voltage it will have when working in he camera. I think you have to buy a new battery. And please when you have a new battery, charge it several times a year, even when you don't use it between the holidays.

Camileo s30 not charging

I had this same problem! Scoured the web and found no solution. This is what I did to fix it...

Remove battery. Unplug charger. Press and hold the power button for 20 - 30 seconds. While still holding the power button, re-insert the battery and/or plug in the charger. Voila! Came back to life and worked like nothing ever happened.

I also did the same thing with the record button, but it was the power button that got the result.

Hope this helps!
