The green blinking light will not shut off and the tv wont turn on. do you know whats wrong with the TV?

green timer light just blinks (39 days) unit went to shop $800 + - a few $$$$$ emailed mitsubishi no reply(what did i expect).

I have the exact same problem. The manual says to reset the TV, but that didn't help.

Any ideas on where to start to look for fixes?

I have an error code of 1 2. The TV would not work. I pressed the Device and Menu button got the error code. Then tried the power button and the TV turned on. What is error code 1 2

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
please post your error code

Hi, i have here a mitsubishi WD-57733. once the unit is switch ON, green LED light and a few seconds the status LED light then shuts off. I think light engines good since i just replaced a new lamp.

hello i've just checked the manual for here is some information

None TV is powered off. Normal operation.

Green TV is powered on. Normal operation.

Green 1. TV just plugged into AC outlet.

Wait until blinking stops before turning on (approximately 1

minute). Normal operation.

2. AC just restored after power failure.

3. TV Rebooting after System Reset was

used.

4. TV Rebooting after power fluctuation

or receiving abnormal digital signals

from digital channel, or digital device.

5. You have begun the procedure to

update software from an authorized

flash memory device.

For detailed information, see the instructions that accompany

the authorized software update. IMPORTANT: Do not

use unauthorized software at any time.

Green TV just powered off and lamp is

cooling.

Starts to blink 30 seconds after turning off TV. TV can be turned

on before blinking starts or after blinking stops, but not while the
indicator is blinking. Normal operation. hope it helps regards shaun

Sony kp65ws500 when you turn tv on green light comes on for a few seconds and then shuts off. thought the green tube went bad so replaced with new green tube and it still does the same thing.

power light if it shuts down should blink a error code--count the blinks and a pause?

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
Your Mittsubishi has a system the will cause the green light to blink for 70 seconds when first plugged in, if the green light never stops blinking it is either a power supply issue or a stuck keyboard button.
So do the test and reset it to see if the light stops blinking or not.

Symptoms shows TV needs new lamp.
Please always buy original Sony lamp for replacement.

The constant blinking green light means that the TV is not booting up. This is a common problem on this set.You need to remove the shield from the DM board (standing upright on the left where the DTV RF connector is)and inside you will see the four leaky capacitors (1000 MFD 16 VOLT)replace them,plug the TV in and wait 70 seconds for the blinking light to stop,then turn on the TV.The hard part will be removing the board from the TV(lots of screws and connectors,takes time)
