Maytag performa washer

Maytag Epic is leaking water from the bottom about 8 or 9 inches from the front door back on the right side. Is there and thing i can do. It only about 2 years old or less.

you have a leaking pump and need to replace it.

My Performa started leaking from the Drain Pump rubber gasket. It had dryrotted. However, Maytag doesn't make a replacement O-ring gasket. You have to buy the whole new pump! Thanks Maytag.

Bad water level switch or pinched hose going to water level switch.

with a stiff putty knife you can releace the clips one on each side to lift the top two screws hold the front on fill the machine and advance throught the cycles to see where the water is coming from checkthe hose between the tub and pump with a flash light look between the top of the gear case ( transmition) and the bottom of the tub for water leak if there you need a new transmition and seal kit you are looking at about 200- 250 in parts hopefuly it will be the hose between the tub and pup the is less than 50

I dont know for sure what it is but i would guess that the tub is going off balance during the spin just befor the rinse and the tub is not centered. so what happens is watter hits the top of the tub and runs down the back (inside) and thats where the water is comming from.

Just rehook the clear tube back onto the air dome (back right side of drum), drain any water from the drum, the refill, pressure switch will reset itself. Start to fill on small load size first, then move up when washer starts to be sure it reset all the sizes.

Your door lid has a switch that makes these functions work.First open the lid and look at the right side of it.Does it have a arm on it?If it does follow the direction where it is going to hit and now listn closely while your lifting the door up & down at this contact  can you hear it click?If its not clicking  or the arm is broken  off the lid replace  the lid switch/or the broken lid switch arm.

when you put the drain hose on the floor the water will ALWAYS drain out. When the drain is in the proper location (above the height of the tub) and the water is still leaking, if its leaking as it fills you might have a loose hose,or a cracked water inlet valve. If after the water is in the tub and its still leaking you have a bad seal.

Is the machine belt driven? Look under the washer and see if the belt is laying on the floor. If so, just get a new belt.
