I need a new power supply board but cant find one anywhere

The main board and the power supply is bad for your TV and it would be more easier to buy a new TV than to try and fix the current TV that you have and that our TV could of had died on you.

if you have basic knowledge in electronic repair then you can do a check in your player. first you will need to unplug the unit for safety. then unscrew to remove the cover now look for the power supply board which supply the main board and mechanism. try to find any unusual in the board like bulged component parts or any burnt parts, as will as in the main board. if none everything looks fine, at this time you will need a trouble shooting which need to used device like digital tester. you must check weather the supply dc voltages coming from the power supply board are stable if not it will not turn on properly.

Let it power on. If it plays the normal windows music then look very carefully at the screen. You may need a flash light. If you see a faint image then your inverter board or back light have burnt out. It will a small board 1 x 2 inches usually and have a small wire coming from the power supply and one going to the bottom or top of the screen.

How where you checking the power supply? has the board been acting funny like shutting down randomly blue screening? other things happening?

that does not sound like a power board issue in my travels it aways is the mainboard . try shopjimmy.com or andrews Electronics or Tops Electronics in Haverhill ma

Congratulations - you found the fault !

The options you have are -
Buy areplacement board from a spares centre.
Buy a take- off board from a scrap one on Ebay.
Or - Learn about electronic repair - and identify the burnt component , buy the parts and replace it yourself.

You can take it to an electronic repair shop - if you can find one - or a electronic supply shop - and ask for a new one of "them".

If replacing a burnt component - often there is a cause other than just that component.
Experience tells you what else might be wrong to cause it.

If you can read the numbers on the power board, sometimes really obscure and have the model number of your tv, you can contact the manufacturer and see if you can buy the power board directly. If not, contact a local tv shop and read the part number off to the tech and give him the make and model and see if he can locate it for ya. some of these parts have lifetime warranties so check with your manufacturer. hope this helps, j

If you still see some signs of life on the screen, it means that there could be something else wrong in the main board not the power supply.
I would suggest to measure the voltages from the power supply, specially the 5VDC.
If there was a power surge is more likely that it damaged the main board because the power supply is not well regulated to control the output voltage to the main board and other circuitry.
