Not sure whether a schematic will help unless you have some understanding of the location of the components. It would help if you are able to clarify what you mean by pumping in. Usually you should hear the water inlet valve turn on to let water in. Then the wash motor should run to churn the water around and then the drain pump should drain the water out. What is happening is the dishwasher is leaking water as soon as it fills. This causes the flood switch to turn on and that triggers the drain pump to empty the water. Usually Bosch dishwasher have an inline water leakage detector. Check under the sink where water inlet tap is located. There is a device connected through which the water get in. The hose is detecting leakage. Need actual model number of the dishwasher to investigate.
Does any water come out of the faucet when turned to hot? If not, you may have disconnected the fautet line from the valve and attached the dishwasher line. You can check this by looking under the sink and making sure all lines are connected to valves.
If everything is connected, you may have dislodged some mineral buildup and it is blocking your hot water line to the faucet. You'll have to remove the line and clean it out.
Hello ddux97 - I understand your dishwasher has power but
will not fill with water. Here are a few simple troubleshooting tips that may
help you resolve this issue:
• Make sure water supply is turned on. (First
check for shut off valve under the kitchen sink).
• Check the house circuit breaker or fuse box,
reset circuit breaker or replace fuse.
• Check inlet hose and make sure it's not twisted.
• Does float overfill protector (mushroom shaped
object in tub) move freely? This is located in the bottom left front corner of
the dishwasher.
• If this is a new install, then make sure the
unit is not pressed up against the cabinet and the fill tube is not squeezed
closed.
• Make sure the electrical wires going to the
water inlet valve have not come off. It is best to turn off power to the
dishwasher before reconnect wires, it doesn't matter which terminal is off both
need to be connected.
• Make sure the drain hose is installed correctly.
If the drain hose is routed under the floor as the dishwasher fills water can
be drawn from the tub and appear to have never filled.
• Some models of Frigidaire dishwashers use a
water pressure switch that will shut off the water valve if the tub over fills.
These models do not have floats.
I hope these troubleshooting tips help you in some small
way.
Hello. The water coming into a dishwasher is from the hot water supply line nearby, often under the sink. Make sure that the valve on that dishwasher supply line is opened all the way. Turn it counter clockwise as far as it will go. If that does not solve your problem, consider replacing the dishwasher hot water supply line. The old line may be bent or partially clogged with sediment. J.
Hi Thanks
for using FixYa. To start with check the water inlet valve which is located
behind the lower access panel on the left or right side of the Dishwasher. If
the water inlet valve is bad you have to replace it, also check the main water
line for clogs/obstructions. If still the issue is not resolved then it’s a bad
float switch and needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the
issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
If you've checked everything, you will need to replace the impeller possibly.
Leakage error > Conditon: Excessive RPM of washing motor happened
during wash cycle due to water leakage.
Possible cause: Water leakage in hose connections, water is leaked by
damages. The motor water seal leakage of sump assembly. The height of
drain hose connection ( sink drain hose ) is not over 20". Impeller of
the washing pump is worn away.
Hello,
If this is happening it is because your dishwasher is plumbed into the drain wrong. Even if the drain is slow or slitghly plugged you still should not have this problem.
The drain from the dishwasher should go into the sink tail piece high up under the sink with a "Y" fitting. The drain hose should also loop up higher then the bottom of the sink at some point. This should keep the water from the sink from backing up into the dishwasher.
You need to either check the drain yourself and reroute it or have someone doit for you.
I would first check where the drain hose from the dishwasher connects to the drain stub under the sink. Remove the hose from under the sink and place it into a bucket. Close the dishwasher door and cancel the cycle to put the dishwasher in a drain cycle. Listen for the drain pump to activate. If water comes out of the hose check the stub where the hose connects under the sink with a screw driver to make sure the spout is clear of debris. If no water comes out of the hose, empty the dishwasher by hand using a plastic cup and when empty remove the hose at the pump under the dishwasher and check to see if there is any debris at this point. Make sure hose is clear from the dishwasher pump to the drain stub under the sink. You will need to place a towel or two on the floor as water left in the bottom of the dishwasher will come out when you remove the hoses. If still no water comes out you may have to disassemble the bump assembly. Not knowing what make and model you have I can't help you past this point.
I hope this is of some help.
two possible sources of water
either
inlet valve leaking. turn water off after use and if no water accumulates, then cause is leaking valve
or
if drain is plumbed in to a spigot on the sink trap, then every time you empty water from the sink, some of it goes down to the washer
cure by taking the drain hose up as far as possible under the sink in a swan neck
how is the water flow at your sink this is a portable right un screw the connector at the sinkand check the screen 2 your fill hose could be kinking up when you pull it out take a light and look down into the washer see if you can see it kinked we will go from there
