Hi
I have Sony Vaio PCG-Z1RSP laptop which is not booting up.
When i switch the laptop on it will display the Vaio screen then it will go blank with the cursur flashing in the top left.
Can you help me??
Have you tried booting with a windows cd, and then running a disk check?
You need the Sony restore disks for your model laptop.
I do not believe they include them by default with their laptops, but they normally include software to create the restore disks yourself. Unfortunately this requires your current hard drive to be working.
If you have not already performed the disk creation, you're only other option is to contact sony for a system restore disk. There is normally a small charge. I think their number is: 1-800-488-SONY

I have found that the hard drive is dead!!!
I have bought a new hard drive and I am looking for some help on what I need to do to get the new hard drive working.
I know how to fit the drive in to the laptop, what I need to know is how do I install Windows XP and all the drivers???
