I understand that you are having an error code "ER" displayed on the panel of your Frigidaire dishwasher. Normally, "ER" stands for error code and that can be a miscommunication within the board. I would perform a reset on your dishwasher and you can do that by disconnecting power from your dishwasher for ten minutes. If you continue to receive an error code you could be experiencing an issue within the control panel or faulty wiring harness. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

I have the exact same problem! Did you figure out what was the matter?

This is an error code for the icemaker fan motor.
If the control does not see a signal coming back from the fan motor you will get this error code.

The ER IF code indicates a failure of the icing fan.

You may notice slower ice production but the other fans should be okay.

You can select the ultra ice option and see if the fan toggles on.

The fan or the control is bad.

You need to check and clean pump filter, normally located behind a removeable plastic cover at bottom front of washer right hand side.
If no filter found there remove rear panel of washer, and clean pump from rear of washer.

ER FF is "Error Freezer Fan." Once the evaporator fan stops turning for more than 115 seconds, this error message will be displayed. This fridge is poorly designed and is not designed with air gaps or enough air gaps to allow air behind the back panel of the freezer where the fans and condenser coils are located thus causing ice to build up around the fan and it's ability to spin. The evaporator fan helps circulate the cold air generated by the condenser coils.

The fix is (1) defrost your refrigerator which means you'll loose all your food if you don't have another unit to keep the food in until it's done defrosting or (2) to dismantle the entire freezer by removing all the trays and railing so that you can pull the back panel far enough to get the front end of a hair dryer over the top lip of the panel to melt the ice. My unit had ice build at the top right and left corners behind the panel. I opted for the latter and didn't have to throw any food away.

Hi. Error FF is your Fresh Food Fan. Otherwords, the evaporator fan motor has failed. You should replace the motor and motherboard. You may get by just replacing the motor. Sears doesn't manufacture the refrigerator. They just pay extra to have Kenmore put on it. Its the manufacturer that needs to back their equipment. If you bought it from Lowes, you can't hold Lowes responsible for the ongoing issue. They sell the same refrigerator. Anytime this model refrigerator displays an Error code, unplug it for 5 miniutes and replug it. Sometimes it was a computer misfuction. Good luck! Mack
