I have a similar problem with this one. phone displays Limited Service.
phone have a signal but call/text/gprs all not working. tried manual network selection, detected 2 signals, smart and globe, but when selected, it says, not allowed.
my currect sim works on other cellphone but not on this samsung phone. it says, limited service. all other sim cards doesn't work with this cell, it always says limited service.
HI i have same problem with my samsung.
you have a prob in signal reception. it is hardware related. if you can open your phone, try checking its antena connection probably it lost its contact to the board. or worst it has a problem on its hardware parts.
if you can't open your phone have it repaired to technicians coz it is mostly hardware related...
