I've installed the software for my Singer CE0100 Futura embroydery machine and when I try to open the software I get an error that says, " Connection Error. Check that USB cable is connected and power switch is turned on." My USB cable is connected to bothe the computer and machine and the power switch is on. Help please!
Hi I had the same problem sent question to Singer and this was their reply
"Do you have Vista 32-bit or Vista 64-bits? Unfortunately the CE-100/200 machine will not be compatible with either Vista 64-bit systems or the newest Windows 7 computers. The CE-100/200 will only be compatible with Windows 98 through Vista 32-bit operating systems.
This appears to be a hardware issue and not something that we will be able to create a patch to correct. Drivers necessary for 64-bit operating systems are not compatible with the CE-100/200 machines." so I guess we are SOL
Newtosinger, you got a very strange answer. Updates with 64bit Vista/XP and Windows 7 platforms support will be released for all Futura models, just due to higher demand updates for newer machine models are released first. So far updates exist for models ce150/250/350 and ses1000/2000. In a few days will be released an update for ce100/200 that use software 2.5.0.0-2.5.0.2. After that will be released an update for older software versions Futura 1.0.0.x (ce100) and 2.0.0.x (ce200/200E)
I bought the upgrade and it still won't work. Has anyone tried the BBB to get some action??
Futura ce200 is not compatible with Vista 64. I just spoke to Singer and they said I have to buy a $99.00 upgrade for it to work.This is after I spent 8 hours trying to install the software doing research and trying to install the patch. It would have been nice to know this before I purchased the machine!
It is very important that you turn the machine on first, before trying the software!!
Try reinstalling everything.
