How to open fan to clean blades honeywell model

first remove the two screws on the back top of fan... then remove little cover on third screw which is located on the bottom of the outer casing.. i used a fork to poke the hole for leverage then pull it out... take out the three screws on the bottom (that hold the stand part of the fan).. now you can start removing the casing.. start to pull apart.. carefully... once you have opened one part you can use a flathead or a butter knife to pry open where there are clips on the sides.. the final clip is under the handle poke that one and your fan should be opened....

Fan blade is not rotating but there is noise

The rotor is stuck and the fan blade will not rotate then a humming noise can be heard. It is due to a bushing problem. It may be stuck due to a hardened accumulated dirt.
  1. Remove the fan blade guard.
  2. Remove the fan blade.
  3. Remove the 4 screws holding the stator assembly.
  4. Pull out the front plate of the motor and the rotor.
  5. Clean the bushing and the rotor.
  6. Lubricate the busing and rotor assembly.
  7. Reassemble in reverse order.

How do I get my cool operator fan apart to clean the darned thing

hi! there,
well! no brand and model, anyway the guard fan has a quick clip lockaround the fan blade,be sure to unplug your electric fan before doing this, unlock clip lock then the fan has a quick handy lock knob at the center of the fan observed loosening knob there is direction arrow in loosening this if i'm wrong going counter clockwise,or take the direction indicated marked on top of knob.
pull out the blade and have it clean if this is a plastic or aluminum clean it with water and spounge/cleanser,avoid to distorsion on fan blade if happen this will wiggle when run again be carefull and on the second guard fan still connected to your electric fan, there is plastic lock nut release and pull out the 2nd fan guard, try to clean this with water and cleanser, the motor assembly with control and stand just wipe it out ,don't try to get wet specially the motor, let all dried up before reassemble.reverse the process to eassembly

Removable grilles for easy cleaning?

We just figured this out ourselves. There are four (4) screws on the back of each fan that when undone it releases the grill for cleaning. But the fun part is getting the screws back in to the little holes. But all in all we got it clean...

Honeywell HFD 135 FAN BLADES DIRTY

I used a can of compressed air to clean my fan blades and this did the job. I bought a 6-pack of 3M Dust Remover at Sams Club to save money. Hope this helps.
