Long Distance calls and Area Code Setting/Cancellation
While the present Caller ID information is displayed, pressing */tone/< will place
or remove the prefix "1" in the display to set the call for a long distance call, or
pressing #/> will set or cancel an area code (see page 30).
Storing Caller ID messages in the Phonebook
Messages shown in the Caller ID list can be stored in the phonebook. The phone
number and name of the party on the Caller ID list can be stored in memory.
1) When the phone is in standby mode, select the Caller ID message to be stored.
Then press the STORE soft key on the base or the EDIT soft key on the handset.
From the handset, then select E D I T ?. S t o r e / E d i t N a m e appears. If the Caller ID
message is already stored in memory, you will hear a beep and T h i s d a t a i s
a l r e a d y s t o r e d ! ! appears. The number will not be stored.
2) To complete the setting, follow the steps 3-8 in "Phonebook (Storing Phone
Numbers, Names, Distinctive Rings, and Speed Dial)" on pages 42-43.

What city or state has area code 333

There is no area code +1 333 in North America (USA, Canada, etc.). It does not exist. Google Voice erroneously assigned some numbers in area code 333, but it is not a real area code. Country code +33 is France, and a number beginning +33 3 is in the northeast part of France. If you see a number on your caller ID that shows up as 333-???-????, it could be: * bogus caller ID data (telemarketer/etc. sending random fake digits)

Phone doesn't show caller id numbers anymore.

You need to make sure you have programmed your area code...check the manual for setting up caller ID. You can search for the manual on line...go to Retrevo.com

When a received call comes in the number shows 1-402 then the number.on call back the phone dials all 11 numbers, then i get a recording from windstream that says i dont need to dial the 1 and area code....

The caller ID in your area is set up to show the 1 plus the area code although not every area has yet to require you to dial the 1 before the number. In the near future it's possible you will have to dial the 1 even if you're calling a local number. I know of no way to change the phone settings in order to remove the 1 in the caller id. Unfortunately it looks like your only option will be to dial the number directly without the 1. Good luck!

Area Code not showing on incoming calls. Sakar HT44ID-10

Not all systems require the area code. In fact if I am calling a number in my area from the ID caller & it has the area code shown, I must hit the pound key to erase the area code to make a connection. If it shows only the area code & it is a long distance call, I hit the star key to add a one in front of the existing number.

All calls coming up unknown even those in my phonebook. Show caller information is on.

Try to check if you include the area code when you savs it on your phonebook, if you already did try to call your Service Provider to check your caller ID subscroption.

It does not display the area code on the caller ID

Somewhere, you told it your area code. Take that part out or put a different one in and it will show 10 digits.

Some calls are coming through as "unknown number" on my LG U990, despite the callers having ID sent selected on their phone.

Some network providers are having trouble with caller id. You need to be sure that friends or callers are not putting code for unknown caller. Automatically You receiving as unknown calls.
Check Your phone on setting caller id click on show.

Caller ID Stopped Working - Think the phone needs to be reset?

Not sure why this worked, but I went to the Menu and the Set Area Code selection. The area code setting was blank, so I entered my area code and saved it. Caller ID started to work again. As a test, I went back to the Set Area Code selection and deleted the area code and saved it. It is currently still working. Seems really odd, but it worked for me.

Caller ID set up and poor audio quality

Set up the callers in your contacts. You must have the area code for the name to show up. You must dial the area code for the name to show up when dialing out.

The hearing problem could be the person you are talking to, if your volume is all the way up. If you are sure that it is you I would talk to a motorola technician. Let me know how it goes.
