Assuming you've got the proper version for whatever operating system you're running on your computer, you should just be able to start the downloaded program. You can use a commandline window or simply double-click the file. That will start the installation program, and you simply have to answer a few simple questions.
Same thing happened to my ipod touch. Well, if the screen is a certain color and it is just staying that way and won't move, then let the battery go low, and then turn it back on and it should work! But if this ever happens again you should call the company who made it or return it, what ever works best for you!
You need to use the Sansa Media Converter to convert the video to a format the Sansa can handle. If you don't have the SMC, you can download the Windows version from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3IPZO6Q0
Download the latest drivers for it first. Then turn on, then connect via usb, then go to my computer and you should see your device in the drive folder
